Would it be an unrealistic expectation to hope that Takara's Rewind has a painted or tampo'd phone/tablet screen as opposed to Hasbro's stickers?

i like how the G1 face looks painted on the MTMTE head. it works.

why are his arms so asymmetrical though? that looks ugly as sin.

Just one minor correction: The term "Titan Master" (or "Titanmaster") belongs to Hasbro. TakaraTomy is still calling them Headmasters (or, as the package says: "Head Master"). This is because the Legends Universe is considered part of the Japanese G1 continuity, whereas Hasbro's is a rebooted continuity.

Beyond that... It looks to be a great update to an already great (and getting better) toy line. :)

I wish Nightbeat had a new face, but other than that they look good especially Rewind's tablet screen.

How exactly does Nightbeat have a "screen accurate" paint job what with him not ever actually being on screen?

For that matter, why would fans of Headmasters be happy with anything related to a character that was never in Headmasters, (or Masterforce or Victory)?

That Nightbeat "I think I just shat myself" face looks awful. I wish they just repainted Goshooter instead.

Then again not like it matters much because there's no matching full body to even use these with.

And why would they not be?

In 1987, Takara debuted the Headmaster Warriors. They did not appear in The Headmasters anime series. And in 1988, Takara debuted the Godmaster Warriors. They did not appear in the Super-God Masterforce anime series. And yet, both were given in-continuity roles and fiction.

And in 2014, TakaraTomy debuted the Legends Universe. Atop of answering questions, reviving characters, and more... The majority ended up fleshing out gaps in their own Generation One continuity. Which resulted in gaps being filled.

For example: Thanks to the creation of Roadbuster and Whirl in the Legends Universe, they managed to help Sprung (Springer) form the Wreckers in 2003. And also helped give way to Topspin and Twin Cast to be part of it.

In other words... It is because all of their characters were given some kind of backstory. And the little pamplet will show his. ;)

Like the way they colored Nightbeat. The Hasbro TR version only has about two colors.

Nightbeat looks pretty cool. I like how, since they aren't doing the comic styled visor face, Takara's at least matching the original toy's paintscheme 100%. However, unless that blue is a perfect match for the currently existing Nightbeat, I'm just going to be happy with the Hasbro Titanmaster. At the end of the day, I want the US Rewind, so it would be a waste of money to get the JP one just for the headmaster.

However, if anyone out there is definitely getting the Takara Rewind and would be willing to sell their Takara Nightbeat, I'd be willing to take it off your hands ;)

Maybe screen accurate refers to his cartoon segment of his commercial ?

Yeah, that news article probably wants rewording.

Nightbeat is toy-accurate, because getting Nightbeat's toy imported as "Minerva Nightbeat" is the only experience with him that Japan ever had.

His robot mode just seems to be intended to vaguely evoke Nightbeat's full size robot mode, though all the black on the legs is a little odd...

He's got Siren's head in that commercial, just like basically all his media appearances.
