They are all re-releases, and could be the same colors if not noted in the listing.

The PM Optimus is fantastic. I haven't built my star saber yet. If that's what those are, then those 2 are reissues - god bomber armor guy included. (Pretty sure that's what I'm looking at in the OP pic) The 3 TF combiner guy looks to be new - I think. Not too knowledgable on the Japanese g1 lines past '87, but I collect kabayas, and dont think I've seen them before.

edit- griffin is right. I must have missed the 3 part combiner.

Big Powered is a reissue too, got that here.

    Transformers Gum - Transformers Wiki

    Star Saber's from Wave 1
Super Ginrai and Godbomber from Wave 3
    Victory Leo Wave 4
Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber & Roadfire from Wave 6

    7 characters, 6 boxes.

Do I buy a set and hope it's a Big Powered member missing. Phil needs that PM Op. It has Elbows

I really wanted a God Ginrai kit. It's one of the few Kabaya kits that doesn't partsform, like the Star Convoy one.

Well, they kinda do, but in a bearable way. The other kits, not so much.

Still, it'll be good to add to my Legends collection.

If it's anything like the Brave Gum Great Gattai Set, then it's safe to assume that the stickers will be on metallic foil, the plastic will have some amount of metallic flake to it, and the face parts will be pre-painted.

Also since they're deluxe sets, one case should be like this:
2x God Ginrai (Super Ginrai & God Bomber)
2x Victory Saber (Star Saber & Victory Leo)
2x Big Powered (Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, & Road Fire)

Star Convoy's leg articulation is awesome. Parts forming was a great idea that makes the Kabaya unique. Sans base mode, it's not like you have to take the tracks off, anyway.

Still, nice to see another go at prior releases for those who missed out.

If they paint the faces on these, I might have to break down and buy some.

I'll be selling the big powered set since I already have those 3. Still need to build Dai Atlas though

I have some extra Big Powered on hand right now if anyone's interested?
I also have a spare Victory Leo and possibly some other misc. ones. PM me if interested I guess. lol

My big question is whether these will be "sets" so that you get 2 of each set in a box of 6 or whether there are 7 characters and you just get 6 of 7? The price seems more than I recall for previous 6 packs no???

What I appreciate so much about these little guys is how they've made subtle improvements to their G1 predecessors. They all have added bits of articulation, or improvements to their transformation schemes.

I wish that Takara would re-issue their G1 counterparts with those improvements! :D

The only original wave of these that I hadn't picked up already is the Ginrai wave. This is tempting to get the Ginrai and pair of Godbombers I'd been wanting, but that still leaves me to track down a Starscream. I just hope solo Starscream prices don't get jacked up in lieu of this announcement.

If they're reissuing more stuff, maybe we'll get a Hot Rod/Starscream/Inferno/Optimuses wave and I can pick up a Starscream on the cheap that way.

(The earliest of these Kabaya waves have shot up in price, even on places like Mandarake.)

I really dislike partsforming. It kinda ruins the feel of the toy. Stuff like Star Convoy's roller drone is okay, but unpegging the arms and pegging them elsewhere when Kabaya has proved it's able to design them otherwise, it's just cheating.

Sounds like you have more of an issue with hollow arms exposed, which is understandable. Super Ginrai is the superior toy, I agree, but the ability to swap-over arms in Star Convoy is an available option, and not required.

Partsforming is disappointing when it happens, but its mostly used in lieu of sliding mechanisms to avoid premature friction ware. A trade-off for a bit of robustness and longevity in a fragile cheap toy. I don't like it either, but I have an appreciation of why it's done.

No, it's not the arms exposed; it's the fact that you have to take off and reconnect parts.

And they can change a few hinges to slide out without the partsforming; they just choose not to.
