So, during that Titans Return preview thing, there was a couple pictures of this thing, which I've never seen before, & don't know why it would be at the event if it wasn't anything new.

Also it's/was a ACGHK 2016 exclusive too?

That's a Soundwave figure Hasbro made in conjunction with a Chinese tablet developer. There's no sign of it being an ACGHK exclusive, but making it a HasbroCon or SDCC exclusive would probably be the best chance of seeing it stateside due to its nature.

 

I think that's the transforming IPad that the Chinese company was using to promote something.

 

It appears to be a redeco of that iPad Soundwave figure I can never find.
I like this color scheme better than the weird bronze it had before.

The only reason I think it might be some exclusive is that Tag Hobby had this text above the photo:

同場加演: 小米平板2 音波！ 將於ACGHK 2016 及SDCC 2016會場中發售。

which translates to:

"Same field encore: millet flat 2 Sonic! SDCC 2016 will ACGHK 2016 and the venue of the Offer."

 

I want that because it looks flippin awesome.

 

It says that this item is gonna be on sale for both SDCC & ACGHK conventions. Nothing further than that.

There is no special mention (of any form) indicating that this is a SDCC or ACGHK exclusive.

 

Same. Plus... it's refreshing NOT G1. There's a few very light design cues tying it to the classic Soundwave design, but overall it's totally new.

Maybe hopefully the shopping gods will smile on us and we can order our own from HTS without any fuss.
