Still no sign of the Master Sword for the LG version.

I wonder why TakaraTomy are holding back the images.

Oh snap. That is WAAAAAAAAY better than he looked in the previous shots.

Arrrgh, he now looks a billion times better than the Hasbro version. I just want the Hasbro head/Cerebros. What a dilemma.

People are hypothesizing they're holding back because of Hasbro's SDCC "exclusive" nonsense, and that we'll see everything after the convention.

 

We finally get to see takaras fortress and head . The SDCC one has it in cerebros colors . I need both heads but only the takaras body

 

Well, at least now we know what Takara's retool of Cerebros looks like. I actually prefer Hasbro's take on the character, since he's one of the most sympathetic Transformers alongside First Aid. Still, I like the extra paint apps Takara added to the alt modes (which looked very plain earlier), not to mention the mighty Master Sword. Tough decision....  

 

I love that they haven't connected blaster to any of the actual ramp points, they know how silly it looks.

Otherwise it looks fantastic, definitely the best of the three options.

Fortress is a completely different character than Cerebros, but I'm right there with you. I want Cerebros, not Fortress.

But everything else about Fort Max... this one is so much better than Hasbro's that it's not even funny.

There's no way I can get both, so I really don't know what to do. Cerebros is important to me. But Takara's deco looks so amazing now that we can see all the paint apps and stickers. Auuuuugh!

 

Man, I am loving these toys, I just already have these characters. I'll hold out hope for a Brave Maximus and a Twincast repaint, I'd love to hook them up with Metroplex and G1 Fort Max as a big Autobot City.

 

So what parts are stickers? I cannot tell.

Takara Metroplex was all paint apps so thats why im curious

 

The arrows on the runways and whatnot. In the previous pictures, the runways were a boring plain white. At that point, Hasbro's alt modes looked better with all the extra details. But no more. Takara has pulled out ahead again.

 

You could get the Takara version and hope to trade the headmaster with someone who got the Hasbro version.

 

Yeah, I've heard a couple other people considering this, but it seems a bit chancy to me. Especially being an overseas transaction. I dunno... I may hope for a KO Cerebros or something down the line. Sigh.

Wow. Nice. I still want a Hasbro Cerebros, though... This may end up an expensive pain. My hope now is that TT does the Cerebros head packed in with a legends figure like how they're distributing Nightbeat and Goshooter's heads.

 

I'm so glad I pre-ordered this version. Not a big fan of Fort's colors on the Hasbro or SDCC Version. What I want to know is will there be a 3P to create extended white ramps for the figure (like we had on the G1 or Encore edition).

 

And I want the Fortress head instead of the Hasbro one, but I will be moving heaven and earth to get the Hasbro release. I feel your dilemma. The pics look great, but not worth import fees OR the invariable price hike.
