Sweeet! In 2005 my girlfriends mother stole my entire collection. 44 large uhaul boxes with all carded and boxed transformers inside them. I had doubles of everything large. I was able to get bavk 42 boxes with no help from the police thry told me that I couldn't do anything about it even know I knew who did it. So I said "F that!" and got real sneaky and luckily was able to get them back. But in the end I was missing all the mint in sealed versions of Cybertron Leader class figures, like Galvatron, Menador, Optimus and Megatron, + Supreme Starscream, and my 2 Unicron's. Black/neon green and the original. So those 2 boxes were never found and I wasn't able to get the 25th mold although I did try. This is VERY welcomed and I love the new head so I'm in!

No, it's the voyager Titans Return Astrotrain remold packed in with Windblade and Brainstorm (Deluxe TR version).

 

Hopefully the third parties will start making planet mode stands again. I've always wanted one but keep missing out

 

They are super easy and cheap to make. Very sturdy as well.

Depending on the price, I may go for this, especially if it is a re-release, or at least based on, the 25th anniversary Amazon Unicron. I've always liked the look of that one.

 

Oh yes I saw that it's ugly orange with like no deco basically and the only way I hear the us is getting Brainstorm which imo looks like the best deluxe of wave one and two hasbro deco anyway (not necessarily mold wise) Thank you though for a minute I thought I missed something in the past

btw, preordered Unicron for 170 at bbts Ouch! I will hopefully find a better price but I suppose it's a heavy sonofabitch so it's probably cost effective of today's standards. I paid 35 for each of my Unicron's in 2003 though so times definitely a changin'

 

I have the Armada and Energon versions, both of which I love. Always wanted the Amazon and 2010 versions but missed out. Sadly BBTS has already put an idiotic price on it so unlikely I'll bother. I'm still waiting for their Platinum Starscream to go down to a reasona le orice and that's yet to happen as well.

 

Me too buddy. But I never had the pleasure of owning the g1 head sculpt yet so I'm willing to pay the whopping $170 IF they give him the right deco. I'm sure as hell not paying that for the Armada head but it's almost guaranteed we will get the updated head. Deco and paint are the main concerns

I learned my lesson about buying Platinum releases when they first come out with Trypticon. I thought he'd immediately sell out so I bought him at the original $200 price tag. He's now selling on TFSource for $120.

I really want this Unicron. I have the Armada version but I've always wanted G1 accurate coloring, so I hope this rerelease has it. But I can afford to wait until the eventual price drop.

I'm excited, I just hope it's a straight reissue based off that exact stock photo and not another god-awful repaint and over-priced Platinum release. I have the Armada version, but he's not as G1 as this one looks to be.

 

Another Unicron release? Well after MP-28, I'm certainly curious as to whether this will be a straight reissue or a repaint/retool with an obnoxious bonus accessory.

The timing is certainly appropriate though I'm a little curious as to why HasTak isn't making a bigger push for the 30th anniversary. You would think that at the very least a ghost version of MP-11 would've been announced by now especially with the BW MPs right around the corner.

 

I remember way back when these were choking TRU shelves, they had to move them to the very top and out of the way.
Literally every TRU had like hundreds of these, from Armada to Energon.

Someone over estimated the selling factor of these things.

So did they just sit in a Hasbro warehouse to be re-sent back into stores every now and then?

Now they think they can sell these for over $50? Good luck with that.

You can't pay me to take one of these. I sold my two Armada and Energon Unicrons a long time ago.

 

Hasbro (at least) is hitting the Movie 30th Anniversary hype pretty hard. Year of the Monkey Optimus Primal aside, all of the announced Platinum Edition sets for 2016 are 86 Movie themed with a special logo for the occasion:

• Hot Rod + Junkions
• Galvatron VS Rodimus Prime
• Unicron w/ Kranix
• Cyclonus/Scourge/Sweep
• Ultra Magnus/Arcee/Springer/Blurr/Kup/Minimus Ambus

Plus we're getting a lot of 86 movie characters in Titans Return (Galvatron, Scourge, Blurr in Wave 1, others peppered in the subsequent waves), and a remaster of the movie itself on Blu-Ray. The anniversary has totally eclipsed other events like Beast Wars' anniversary.
