Its more I somehow never noticed them all these years heh

When the first prototype photos came out I thought wtf, why'd they do that. Then I went back and looked and sure enough bright white and purple knee caps on the cartoon and movie models. Except the two screenshots I posted earlier. That second one took longer to find then I'd care to mention...

Yup! But the savings for getting him at TTMall isn't worth the savings for us stateside folks especially the QC issue for Ramjet which is a shame and I'm all for saving $ too...

I agree. It isn't really worth it for US customers when factoring shipping and forwarding fees. Plus if you have a qc problem, you're stuck with it.

Maybe people are more confident they'll complete the set now?

Yea I don't see why they wouldn't. Thrust and Ramjet are my two favorite of the trio. I got my Ramjet from bbts so I had no issues with my copy.

I agree with this. I would love to fill out my collection with a bunch of Decepticons.

I can't believe bad guys aren't that popular. It's like they expect us to buy nothing but good guys and have them operate a supermarket or something.

It's a weird thing. Most toy lines the villains sell poorly compared to the heroes. It's not as bad in the US, but Japan it has always been particularly stark. The big exception has always been Star Wars.

Let's also not forget that Transformers was one of, if not the first original toy lines to have the full and extensive lineup of bad guys baked in. Most toys had a broad lineup of characters and one or two fairly generic bad guys. Or villains came later. We forget even for GI Joe Cobra came late in the game and had little presense at launch. Has bro was playing catchup to Marvel. So even in the states that even footing of the bad guys was unusual for Transformers.

True but I don't think Reflector and the Insecticons are in any doubt. There's only a few season 1-2 Deceptions left before they hit combiners.

Megatron, Astrotrain, Blitzwing, Insecticons, and Reflector.

I am waiting oh-so (im)patiently for the Insecticons to be announced by TT.

None of the unofficial options have hit the sweet spot for me, and I'm trusting that Takara will save the day there. Except for those who don't like the 'new' aesthetics, of course.

Indeed, I've just been put off the FT versions because of the issues with their take on my favourite (Kickback).

I'll play the waiting game, which might mean that I miss out entirely.

    Am I?

Comparing this image from page 1:

with the attachment, should I think illustrate my point that there's too much grey down the rear half of the body, along the -no pun intended- thrusters.

There's always somebody, somewhere, with some old stock to dump if you really want it years later. It's best not to panic buy.

I'm another big Insecticons fan who hasn't been sufficiently impressed by any of the 3rd party figures to purchase them, and frankly the prices on some of them are shocking too. Can we possibly lobby Takara to release more than one figure/month, so that discounting Beast Wars and re-isssues, not to mention 300 versions of MP-10, we'll have the whole G1 line-up before we're all 50 years old?

Cartoon accurate or not, Thrust just looks cheap. That grey is horrible. The iGear version on the other hand looked great in jet mode.

At least the Masterpiece cars still continue to have great looking paint jobs. Now roll on the next Autobot announcement! :)

Pity about the wing placement in robot mode though :)
