Woo-hoo! Takara is doing another Masterpiece Beast Wars figure to go with Optimus Primal!

Now I'll have to wait till June to find out more details on MP Cheetor.

 

I think with Optimus Primal this was a given.Though I will be passing on it.not a beast wars fan.

 

I guess Cheetor missing from the LG-EX lend more credibility to this rumor

Plus Takara don't have to spend time negotiating with manufacturers either for MP Beast Wars figures like they had to do with several MP G1 figures.

 

If, as has been proven from images of him next to the Thrilling 30 BW toys, Primal is roughly as big as the old Ultra toy, and they're doing show scale as with regular MP, Cheetor will probably be about Deluxe size.

I can get dude robots anywhere. MP beast wars is my only chance for high quality fembots who aren't retools (sorry road rage, but it's true) or arcee (whose g1 design is frankly pretty blah)

Primal was confirmed to be 9cm......I think that's smaller then MP -10.

 

Yes please. My favorite BW Maximal, my first BW toy, and REALLY in need of an update after the Universe one.

Though I prefer Cheetor to have a human-like face, as well as the inclusion of the mutant head/mask like the old Deluxe toy. I do hope a 3rd party group can make this happen.

 

I think you're confusing the metric systems or missing a 1.

IIRC Primal is 19 cm or roughly 9 inches. 9 CM will make him about scout sized  

 

Finally some Takara MP news I can get genuinely excited about!  

 

Nice, but I hope Takara doesn't do what they do with the regular MP line and give us one Predacon for every 5 Maximals.

 

God dammit! I mean, as a Beast Wars kid this is totally awesome and I'm already in for it, but my wallet is... less enthused at the prospect, haha. I thought this year was going to be at least marginally cheaper on the TF front. Damn Takara, going and making Masterpiece TFs I actually want.

If all this pays off and it's the former, there's a good chance we see a Cheetor before the end of the year.

If it's the latter, like Primal last year, yeah we'll have to wait awhile again.

I'm very curious what we'll see next month.

Slightly off-topic, but I wonder if/when we get a Micron Legends Optimus, if this means Takara opts for the kid-friendly yellow sidekick (Hot Shot) before doing any other characters from that series.
