Transmission Initiated Transmission ID: 000025 TFNation_2016 Operation: Forbidden Planet Takeover For the entire month of May, TFNation is taking over Forbidden Planet stores across the country - and we want YOU to be a part of it! We will be transforming storefronts in Birmingham, Bristol, London, Cambridge, Coventry, Croydon, Liverpool, Newcastle and Southampton -and we need YOUR help to see it unfold! To highlight how strong this community is, we are initiating Operation:Selfie. We want to see your pictures in front of our giant store displays and with our limited edition FP carrier bags. Please upload your selfies to social media sites using the hashtags #TFNselfie and #TFNation to join in the fun! As a thank you to those of you willing to take up the challenge... look carefully, and you might just spot an exclusive reveal in store windows. More announcements coming soon as things get serious during TFN:May-hem! Further transmissions to follow. Well, yeah - of course it does. It's an update on what is now going to be the largest Transformers convention in the UK. US conventions of this ilk blatantly have third party items as exclusives from the get go so I don't get what the problem is. They get front paged. It's great news for UKers and helps raise the profile given this is a brand new convention this year and hopefully for many years to come.
Which Forbidden Planet has Manchester? FP UK or FP International? FP UK Stores list https://forbiddenplanet.com/stores/ FPI International Stores list Store Locations : Forbidden Planet Confusingly the UK one has the .com address and the international one has the .co.uk address! Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbidden_Planet_(bookstore) for why there's two.
Yes, what beardy said is correct - I decided to leave it in here to raise the profile of the convention. As someone living in the UK, it's in my interests and everyone's interests that TFNation is the big success that it deserves to be.
I'd come to TFNation, but UK and Ireland are the only EU members that still require visas for Serbian citizens, and I'm simply not going to spend ~100 pounds on UK visa fees and processing fees and jump through the hellish administrative hoops. Write to your MPs and ask them to abolish visas and I'll see you next year
By the time TFNation comes around there's a good chance the UK WON'T be an EU member any more sadly :-(
If the UK vote does go for jumping out the door of the plane without a parachute the chances of what you are asking happening shift from unlikely to about the same as me walking down the road to the corner-shop and finding that G1 Unicron Proto sitting on a shelf.
Ah, gotcha, so the forbidden planet in Manchester is FPI and this is being run by Forbidden planet UK. That explains that then.
