So Yuki has now made two tweets in the last few hours showing off the Car Robots Valdigus/Baldigus gift set, both with the text "「風呂の日」" included (along with some additional characters that are not text, per se, but emoji-type bits). The text translates through the built-in translation as "bath day", which really makes no sense, but would seem to be a mangled attempt at "birthday". As this would be the 15th anniversary of Car Robots, and Takara seems to be following our anniversaries for series more than their own when celebrating, it certainly looks like he may be teasing a UW Valdigus set as an anniversary piece...anyone have any more info on this?

This is the deco I've been waiting for! I had G2 Blastoff, Vortex, and Brawl as a kid but the first time I completed the team was with Ruination. On top of that, this is my personal favorite deco of the Combaticons.

He just says "bath day" because of 4/26 is "yo(4)i Fu(2)ro(6) no Hi"(Good Bath Day) in Japan...

Carrobot anime has a configuration "All Valdigus members love a bath.".

 

...Shit Takara is going to be getting more money from me...

 

I prefer Bruticus, because one typo and you get Urination.

 

Yuki posts lots of things, lots of pictures of old toys, reminds us of anniversaries and so on. That doesn't mean a repaint of Bruticus is on the way, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. Perhaps a TakaraTomyMall exclusive?

Hmmm... This reminds me: if I remember correctly, I've still got an original (Korean Release) Baldigus giftset stashed away somewhere.

 

If it does end up happening, I hope it's Takara. They're more likely to use the Blast Off mold and more likely to follow the animation/Japanese toy colors.

Although, I have seen a digibash of Movor using the Slingshot mold and it didn't look horrible.

 

And then we'll get the urban camo version, and the desert camo version...
