Picked this one up today at Target in Seattle. I wasn't all that sure about this one, but the more muted greens actually work. Overall, when assembled, Vicky looks mostly red to the eye. Of course, I like combiners with a unified feel--Devastator, Superion, Defensor all have unified color palates. I also personally like the idea that the designers didn't go out of their way to make the actual figure more "feminine" instead, the face are defined in a rather classically female way (except for Dust Up, who is a direct call back to Nightbird) and that's enough. Looks better with helicopter arms (flight mode) and the illustrations and box art have the motorcycle/chestplate on upside down (if you put it on as shown, Vicky suffers from "I can't see my own feet" syndrome.) All in all, I like Victorion and think she'll fit right in with my other Combiner Wars figs.
Mine is arriving on April 26. Unfortunately, I'll be out of the country by that time so the earliest I'll get it is the first week of May.
Years ago, some of the older posts were deleted / archived, meaning long-time members - particularly the ones who've not been active since before the movies came out - have very low or no post counts. So might not be their first post, just that all previous ones were archived. I'll second the request for picture proof. Preferably with a receipt, or otherwise showing it on the shelf.
Also has Target ever been known to sell these bigger box sets in store? Seems odd that they'd make an exception for Victorion when things like Platinum Trypticon and the G2 CW sets have all remained online only.
I seem to recall some rumouring of a more wider distribution on this set a while ago, as indicated by it's appearance at Toyfair when the others aren't shown. Toy Fair 2016 - Combiner Wars & Platinum Edition Images - Transformer World 2005 - TFW2005.COM
My wife can't see her own feet either. Funny that they decided to give Vicki her own simulated boobs. The poor motorcycle... Not a leg or an arm... She forms the boobs.
If memory serves they were deleted in a database crash. For evidence see the first posts in http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...70-united-kingdom-transformers-sightings.html Post 1 (Me!) 07-10-2003, 10:41 AM Post 2 02-05-2006, 12:29 PM which even quotes a deleted post! Everything Armada, Energon and most of Cybertron gone which would be really useful to see so I could check some odd stories I've heard recently about certain toys UK distribution back then ....
I'm gonna call BS. I suppose it's possible but the circumstances are too suspicious in my opinion Hell, BBTS doesn't even have her for preorder yet
So who put the ? In the title? If the OP, thats funny since you found it. LOL at the fandom's ocd about pics and receipts. Also include a photo of today's newspaper, a tv on in the background showing CNN so our crack investigative team can verify your pants are not aflame. Also, your pants must be in the shot and not on fire.
Sol did when he moved the post so people wouldn't flip out about "being lied to" when they came to the thread thinking it was confirmed. And it's not ocd. That's just how journalism works
