Not sure if this is news or not (if it isn't, feel free to delete this post, or maybe move it over to the Kre-O Appreciation Thread), but I found some (what I think might be) "new" (in new packaging, at least) Kre-O sets at Dollar General this afternoon. Please forgive the crappy photos.

The first is a set of the previously-released Kre-O Combiners Menasor, Superion, and Bruticus in one box, now called "Combiner Robot Mega Pack".

The other set is the previously-released Beast Blade Optimus Prime, now called "Beast Hunter Optimus Prime".

Twelve bucks each. I'm not sure if there any subtle differences between these and the original releases. If they are identical, for those that missed out on these the first time around, these are a good deal.

Sorry, the sticker on Vortex through me off.

Menasor is the only one in this set I don't have, but that prices is too good to pass up.

Hopefully the'll release more Micro-Changer sets in the future.

Hmmm, I already have Superion & Bruticus but I kind of want Menasor and maybe that Beast Hunter set. But then again it has been hard for me to collect Kreo so I've stopped... Last ones I got was the Botcon 2013 set.

    KRE-O LIVES!!

$12 for 3 combiners is pretty nice considering they were originally $10 each. I mean, they also hit clearance prices everywhere too (well, maybe not Menasor), but still it's a nice price.

Oddly I found a picked over case of Series 2 Microchangers today at Family Dollar. These have been gone from the shelves for ages. I noticed these don't have the codes on the bags and have different stands that I have never seen before. I was happy to find these as there are lots of great characters in that wave. These are perhaps a second run? I hope.

Do the Kreons use the old or new style of chest and legs, which were supposedly redesigned to be more secure?

Yep, they're a second run. Each has a flat figure stand instead of the Kre-O brick that came with the first releases. There are some name changes on the packaging, as well ("Autobot Groove" to "Protectobot Groove" and "Powerglide" to "Autobot Powerglide").

Holy Primus, that Combiner set better show up where I live! I've been looking all over for the "individual" Combiners for a while with no luck. I really want the parts so my custom-made Commandos (as seen in the KRE-O Appreciation Thread) can combine into Ruination! :O

I have all those combiners already but getting duplicates for only twelve bucks is a steal for custom pieces- ESPECIALLY all the wheels from the Stunticons and Combaticons. I never had enough of those.

I don't have any of those guys, despite wanting them for so long. Getting three at once seems like a really good deal.

I'm actually surprised they're doing this. Neat.

I don't think it does. The previous Dollar General repacks, like the Wheelkack/Knock Out set, also had their robot mode parts removed.

The Kre-O combiner set looks awesome. Too bad they couldn't have included Defensor as well. My only minor nitpick is it would have been awesome to include the extra 5th member from each team that were blind bagged.

Agreed! Then again, I want a Defensor set, Grove, Heatrock, and Skyfeather, since the last 2 appeared in the comic.

I am too. Menasor eluded me when I was picking these sets up, and as cool as these combiners are, I have no problem double-dipping on bruticus and superion.
    This is very cool.
