I don't remember if the actual Botcon cases showed them as minicon compatible so.. does this mean they aren't the same figures released online earlier?

"Mini-Con Weaponizers" is the name of the subline imprint for RID.

They're just semi-rebranded, same figures in the altered packaging for the new subline imprint.

Happens every other year with every mainline that gets a subline imprint. They also had Grimlock in that packaging style at Toy Fair.

    Doesn't mean they're Mini-Con compatible.

    Here's an example from Energon:

Energon Galvatron couldn't powerlink with other figures either even though his packaging branded him as part of the "Powerlinx Battles". ;)

Yea I knew about those repacks but I didn't know if they were doing it for this line. Still cool to see that these two should get a better release since I missed the online releases.

EDIT: Looking at Hasbro it says this for the figures.

    •Transformers Warriors Class Quillfire figure
•Changes from robot to SUV and back in 7 steps
•Works with Mini-Con Weaponizers figures (each sold separately)
•Scan the figure to unlock content in the Transformers: Robots in Disguise app (see app details below)
•Unlocks Quillfire and a blaster in the app

    •Transformers Warriors Class Thunderhoof figure
•Changes from robot to tractor and back in 8 steps
•Works with Mini-Con Weaponizers figures (each sold separately)
•Scan the figure to unlock content in the Transformers: Robots in Disguise app (see app details below)
•Unlocks Thunderhoof and a blaster in the app

Well, they're compatible with the Mini-Cons that transform into weapons, since those presumably have 5mm pegs and the Warriors have 5mm peg holes in their fists.

That's not a change, though. The figures have been like that from the start.

Also, if you compare the stock photos from the Hasbro listings (which show the new packaging) and the Amazon listings (which show the old packaging), the out-of-packaging photos are identical:
