Mi Pad 2 name that RIPS OFF the iPad 2 name? NOT cool.

 

That's not even a bad looking toy for 20 bucks. Looks kinda cool actually.

Not cool enough for me to look into ways to acquire it though.

 

Sirtoys will probably have it.

 

That thing looks boss. Only $20 too? Hot damn. Funny that the robot is a deception though, with the sponsorship thing one would think it should be a good guy. The feet look like movie blackout's feet. It looks like an actual electronic device too in alternate mode, that's amazing.

 

Wow, that is stellar looking product. Especially for the price tag!

I have only purchased one toy from outside the U.S.

When pre-orders for this go up I will have purchased two.

 

It's a pretty cool looking version of Soundwave too and a very inventive transformation.

so they get steve chinese/chianese for the hasbro part and he looks and sounds as interested as the elevator voice that announces what floor youre arriving on.
or like hes acting in porn and wondering who will pay for the pizza.

 

On second inspection, all those seams in the Mi pad screen make the alt mode look sort of hokey, but it's still pretty neat that something like this was made. The robot mode looks neat enough

Edit: I just saw the video, and actually that's sort of wierd. It makes it seem like the person with the glasses designed the robot or something. Takara didn't do the design work for this? What was Hasbro's contribution?

 

I don't know if this is supposed to be an actual iteration of Soundwave, or just the name is being used.

 

I think it is. They specifically call back to G1 Soundwave in the video, he has a black screen for a chest, is a Decepticon and the headsculpt seems to be based on the DOTM character.

 

It is a sort of wierd delivery. Also what was the deal with those furnishings behind the Hasbro guy? It looked sort of set up specifically for the presentation.

 

The actual work process on the collaboration is sort of vauge in these videos. I wonder who did what.

$20 for a tabletformer seems kinda cool. if we could get that price in the states for him, I'd probably get one.

 

If you ask me, Mi Pad makes more sense than iPad as a product name.
