I joined the campaign. I had to get a friend to help with payment though, they only accept Alipay.

I got this in the mail yesterday from an AliExpress seller. Interesting toy, a little smaller than I first thought, about a large deluxe size when transformed.

Tablet mode is decent, not super convincing as a tablet due to the panels, but holds together well. Transformation is easy enough, there's a few tricky bits where you need to angle the torso a little, and the shield/wingpack/guns are good, though it's partsforming.

The wingpack is pretty much not meant to be Ratbat or Laserbeak/Buzzsaw, but you could try to fake it. It's really more of a wing piece.

The aesthetic is pretty clearly Movie Soundwave - the head sculpt, funny knees/torso array and doubled feet are reminiscent of the satellite mode or even Mercedes mode robots from the movies. That, combined with the Hasbro badging on the packaging, indicate that we may be seeing this toy stateside as part of the new movie stuff.

Packaging is pretty nice - it appears to be reminiscent of electronics packaging - if the MiPad is like the iPad, then the packaging is much like iPad packaging. The Decepticon symbol shaped item shown in the packaging is the instruction manual, a nice touch.

The figure itself has fairly lacking articulation - no head articulation, no waist, no wrist, no bicep or thigh swivels. The arms have a rotator joint that can suffice for okay arm positioning. I'd put this up there with some of the better Device Label type toys from the movies. Maybe a point or two more due to the nice alt mode.

If you're thinking of paying a hefty premium to import him, I'd advise against it. It's an interesting toy, but probably not a classic, and there's a good chance he'll be available later on in the USA.

Have we gotten a transformer who turns into something broken before this? Because it looks like someone dropped their tablet. :lol

Neat in a weird way. Reminds me of Real Gear or Device Label stuff.

Just ordered mine from Ben's Shop on Facebook. Should be here within a week; hooray for easy Sydney postage and incredibly fast Chinese shipping between the two countries.
