Hmm. I do think this is indicative of a possible US release. We'll know for sure once we see the packaging this Groove comes in. If it's US, then there's no reason he couldn't be released here. The mold's good to go, the packaging would be ready, all it would need is an outlet for release.

I still think Rook works better with the Protectobots, so I'm not sure I have any use for this figure, but...I may grab it if it becomes available simply because I pretty much have all of the other molds that have been released.

Missing Grand Convoy's set and both of the Optimus molds (well, they suck ass) but I have pretty much everything else. Seems pointless to skip him if he comes out. Seems pointless to add him, too. *sighs*

No Groove will be released for the US ..period. This only happens in Japan/ Asia .. and its the first time Takara announced that it will be available on a LIMITED run in Taiwan. Dream on, collectors in the US.. :p

Thing is, you don't know that. None of us do in either direction.

1.) The mold is already being used for US releases. (Afterburner.)
2.) Hasbro has access to the mold, confirmed.
3.) The packaging, once he's released in Taiwan, will confirm one way or the other.

I have no personal stake in this, so it doesn't matter to me, but it does to a lot of people and I'm a firm believer in facts, which aren't on your side yet.

When you have irrefutable proof that he's not coming to the US, then you'll be right, until then you're post false info that has no corroboration.

Oh, and as for the " :p  " ... No thanks, I use toilet paper.

Well well well... guess where I just happen to live.
I also haven't picked up any of the Combaticons yet. Was still debating whether or not to hold off for the Takara set -- this may have been the decider. Have also been hemming and hawing about Trailbreaker.

I hope there'll be at least 4 deluxes (all of the Combaticons hopefully) or Onslaught + 2 deluxes to bring it to an over NT$1799 total -- and get me a free Groove!!!

*note: these prices are not the greatest, as I can easily find Onslaught for $800 and the deluxes for $500.

I'm guessing you're not used to Wing-Saber's massive TT bias.

Dunno. Megatron, Ultra Magnus and Seekers were released as CW despite not having anything in common with Combiner Wars except for packaging.
A two stray combiner limbs could be stuffed into TR packaging as well.

Even Blast Off may get a release. You never know.

Though I'm almost positive Grand Galvatron will never make its way West.

Well that is safe bet since Hasbro already released 3/5 of those molds individually already. (Technically 5/5, just not the seeker and conehead heads.)

If it is released I would buy it on the spot if at the right price.unlike you guys in the us. People in singapore are having cw quickslinger and break-neck shelfwarm. So I am pretty certain that if he comes I have a chance to get him on sale.
looks like only one gun will be included. Hmmm. Might be worth it for being the only cw with transparent plastic. looking good!

Showcasing the figure using a render? You would think Hasbro themselves are gearing up for a stateside release.

I still think Hasbro will eventually release deluxe Groove and shuttle Blastoff in the US. Reasons to do it:
    1) Molds already exist, so no new tooling. New individual cards need to be designed, but that's peanuts compared to mold tooling costs.
    2) Quickslinger/Brakeneck special online-only release went very well for them financially/ large amount of units sold.
    3) A LOT of fan interest in these toys, which indicates possible financial success.

I hope they do eventually do it! Both so I can geek-out G1 style with Bruticus and Defensor, and so i can use the spare characters to make a complete custom Galvatronus (without taking any official combiners apart!)

Seibertron has a news post up with an ad scan that shows deluxe groove as well, if there were still any question.

He might come in a baggie or no packaging at all. Though the new CG render makes me wonder if there will be a Hasbro release.

Got nothing against Rook but I certainly wouldn't turn down a Hasbro release of the deluxe Groove.

I gotta be honest, I really only got the UW set for Groove. The decos on the rest of the Protectobots are somewhat lacking, though it's most noticeable on Streetwise. I don't regret the purchase, but Groove is the clear highlight and the whole point of the set.

I wish Hasbro would release Groove over here already so I can have the original lineup plus Rook. I could careless if they release Shuttle Blast Off though.

The CG render is only showing one gun and no big hand/foot/gun. It'll probably be included in the release.

If Hasbro releases a deluxe Groove, awesome. I'll just put my extra TAV Override with the Protectobots.

If they don't... I have a nice legends Groove figure.

Hopefully this means good news for those still needing Groove.
