Wow...at first before people found out the totally ridiculous prices it seems there was interested. But even for me as an Optimus collector its to far out there. I could get something seriously bad ass versus that.

At $170, I'm obviously not the target market for these.

I get it, "Soap studios" because they look like old soap character bottles.

I can't help myself when it comes to g1 Starscream stuff, The price is insane though.

If these were Hasbro Titans (the soapbottle things people call them) for $10, I'd get the entire line. At $170, I'll get none.

I had a heads up about the price on these for a while as I spoke to Dan K at a local con, but man seeing that price in black and white......yeeesh.. As much of a G1 nut as I am, I don't think I can convince myself to drop that kind of coin. I do want them tho but it'll be a MAJOR investment to collect the whole series and I just don't think I can justify it, even with the small production numbers.

That's cool I just emailed bbts a week or so ago to ask if they were getting these. They hadn't heard of them, and since i been in contact with a rep from soap studios about these, I sent the product information to their product department and they would try to get them up for preorder if they could.

Speaking of the rep she had told me the actual price of these were 149.99. and 159.99 a piece. Depending on if it's the leaders or the scouts (their words. Not mine)

170?!??!?!???! They're out of their fucking minds!

But 170 dollars for TF figures that don't transform and aren't really show accurate?

    Wow.

I was eager to get all of these but not at this price point.

I probably could have been suckered into $70.... but no way this.

I'm an Optimus nut. So when I see this I'm thinking, "at $50 sure why not. At $100, there's no detail to the thing so I have to think about it. Then at $170?!?! They must be out of their minds!

These are nice to look at in real life but I told the reps at HK Ani-con they were joking about the price. They just shrugged and said it was the cost of manufacturing.

For the same price you can get Oritoy Prime or even the new MAS figure with actual articulation and far more bang for your buck.
I do like the aesthetic of the figures as they look the part but even as a die hard Optimus collector I wouldn't consider getting one unless they came down at least 50% in price.
