does anybody read this thread? It's NOT G1 FRIGGIN OPTIMUS.

It's IDW Optimus, a modern interpretation by a MODERN ARTIST.
Based on artwork by Andrew Griffith, not Pat Lee or Don Biggles or Cornstarch the Crow or whoever else.

Anyhow I can't wait to see what MODERN stylish version of Megatron they go with. They announced him, but only a silhouette.

The post with a bunch of new pics say this guy seems special. I said it once and I'll say it again. I can't wait for this dude. I wish the hands were all blue but its not a deal breaker

 

I was fully planning to pass on this figure before seeing the price. That's... surprisingly good! I look forwards to putting this guy with my NECA quarter-scale figs.

wow... the image with him next to MP-10 is staggering. I'm going to have to pick it up.

 

I pre-ordered this from one of the local stores here and got a free poster (around A2 size) of the Andrew Griffith drawing the figure is based on! Can't wait to put this guy side by side with Ultimetal and see how they measure up.

 

Can't stop lookin at this dude. Does anybody know why the hands are grey and in the drawing they are blue, was it cost?
