Looks a bit more hodge-podgy than the Hasbro version. I'm actually surprised they were able to pull off the wacky cartoon coloring, with all of its odd inconsistencies. Kudos to Takara, and I'm glad collectors have two options for this Bruticus that are so dramatically different. Now I hold out hope for a certain shuttle to be available at retail, solo. Maybe we'll get some news at Toy Fair.

I have chosen Hasbro over Takara 90% of the times, but this and Devastator are clearly a Takara win.

 

Eh. I don't like the colored feet. Really much at all.

But with how show-accurate they've been with all of the others, probably should have seen it coming. Did figure the chest shield would look like that, and though I actually liked the look of the silver one on the Hasbro version, this isn't bad either. Still plan on getting it.

 

Loving the G1 Chest, and I'm not worried about the color matching feet since I ordered the PE add ons anyway.

 

Wow, so I think I'm the only one who's really disappointed right now.

can't tell if its blurriness from the pic but does the Vortex bit with the rotors work different here? looks good with the blades down here whereas I can't really make it work for me with Hasbro

 

Crappy image is crappy. I can make out enough of the details that I'm pretty pleased though. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the UW sets so far. Can't wait to add this beast.

 

It's reddish (more maroon) in the cartoon.

Yeah, like I said in the UW Bruticus Teaser thread, Vortex seems to be a really dark gun metal gray, rather then being more light gray like Bruticus' thighs are.

 

Huh, surprised that they didn't go for "cartoon accuracy" here.

This is not really a great deco but I'm going to get this for Blast Off and because I already have the other UW releases.

 

Looking very sharp, as usual. The color coded feet are that special kind of touch we only get from our friends in Japan. I really appreciate how they give us both great homages and things never realized before at the same time. Every one of their Unite Warriors releases has felt special in it's own way.

Not a great fan of color-coded feet, but I don't mind having it this way.
Probably i'd like Vortex being more gray than black, but it will do.

 

But will they color his eyes or his forehead?
