I haven't seen this before and didn't find a news post for it; new Epic scale High Tide figure. Found at Target in Tustin, CA.

How about we actually get a version where High Tide becomes the headmaster for his boat, before one of these useless and unarticulated jokes?

I was wondering if there was an actual transforming figure for him. Would be great figure for my son.

There's that playset that features the transformable submarine version of High Tide.

Without his claw, Megabot High Tide's vehicle mode will look like a toilet.

It's news because it is just now hitting retail and I don't remember hearing about there being a High Tide in the epic scale.

Maybe not, but to be fair, 4-yr-olds still demand some gimmick from their toys, be it further articulation or, let's say, ACTUAL TRANSFORMATION (rather than implied transformation). :lol

Honestly, these things end up as weapons more than imaginative toys. My 4 yr old will use it as a bat, after the 10 minutes of interests it generates. I don't see how these are worth buying, even at discount, considering that even young kids are a lot more sophisticated than some of you guys IMAGINE.

Further, Hasbro admitted these are a lower income market toy, so paying $10 seems excessive (as I'm sure they're a LOT CHEAPER in the markets they're intended for). I really think old women (or men) are buying the most of these, and that's out of pure ignorance (or wanting something large and cheap?).

All I know is my son (age 6) enjoys playing with the 4 epic figures he has, even though he has more complicated figures, and has access to my figures as well. When other kids are at our house, I see those kids playing with them as well. While my son and his friends don't necessarily represent all kids point of view, it does show that some kids do like these figures and don't view them as an insult to their intelligence.

These epic figures have lasted through at least 4 lines (Prime, TF4, Rescue Bots, RiD). Stores would not continue purchasing a product that doesn't sell. If kids didn't like these, they would have their parents return them.

While I look at reviews from adults regarding Generations and similar figures, they don't have a clue what the majority of kids want.

These toys just depress me. Kids are now so stupid that they can't figure out how to transform one? Some of us were changing g1 Megatron at 4. This is what happens when your kids are raised by Iphones.
