Just reported from the Transmissions podcast episode 141 (from their reliable rumor source who leaked many Titans Returns and Combiner Wars releases) is a leak/rumor that one SDCC 2016 box set will be Sentinel Prime vs. Brainstorm and Windblade.

TransMissions Episode 141 - Black Shadow or Sky Shadow? | TransMissions

Sentinel Prime will be the Voyager Titans Returns toy (possibly recolored as the War of Cybertron Zeta Prime).

Brainstorm will be the Titans Return Deluxe Headmaster (which will be a heavy remold of Titans Returns Blurr, who is one of the first wave of Titans Return Deluxes).

Windblade will possibly be a new mold, or share a mold with an upcoming RiD Windblade.

Brainstorm from Blurr? I can see that.

They've got very similar profiles - arms on the sides, a chest cockpit, a giant protrusion in front for the front of the car/nosecone... and if Blurr borrowed bits from Brainstorm's transformation his shield could do an elegant solution of ending up as back kibble.

    Interesting.

This may be where the rumor of Sentinel Prime being the color of Zeta Prime from WFC came from.

I'm pretty curious to see how the Brainstorm from Blurr looks, as Tekno above says, they do have some similarities.

Another Windblade figure who's an SDCC exclusive... Yay? It would be nice if it was a new figure, but its still Windblade, again.

I wonder what they would change on these from the retail versions? Just chrome some stuff like on Devastator from last year? Fortunately, last years offerings weren't "must have" to me. Offering up something like next years Galvatron in g1 toy or Marvel colors might be very tempting though.

That's a random sounding gift-set for SDCC, though I suppose more context for it could be provided between now and then.

As a fan of Windblade I am excited to see if this is true, but, that would be a lot of money to spend on her alone so hopefully the rumors of an RiD Windblade is true.

Sentinel sounds, interesting, I wish and hope if this is true they give him his WFC head so I can call him Zeta Prime and be closer to having my dream lineup of Primes.

Brainstorm I could care less since I have the voyager.

That's cool, probably not something I'll pick up though.
Please Hasbro, put out a Brave Maximus at some convention, I want to give you money.

Hmm, interesting stuff but I'm not sure this would sell well. If the goal is to sell out on the exclusives, and I believe that is typically the goal along with drumming up interest in the brand, then I'm not sure this would do the trick. The 3 pack from this year's SDCC did okay, but I don't remember it selling out at the show.

I'm expecting some form of Titan Fort Max as an SDCC exclusive next year, similar to what was done with Titan Metroplex a few years ago. I think that would probably sell fairly well.

Interesting to hear about. Sentinel Prime in the Zeta Prime colors sound awesome and it makes sense too since Sentinel and Zeta are said to be one and the same in the Aligned universe. Would be cool if somehow he was in his DOTM movie colors but that's just me. Brainstorm too sounds cool and him being a retool of Blurr sounds nice too since HasTak's on a roll when it comes to retools lately. Not sure about Windblade since she already had a SDCC figure last year....However who's to say that it may not be a possible RID15 Warrior Windblade repainted?

If this ends up being true or not I hope that should there be any more SDCC TF exclusives there can be an CW Ultra Magnus and TW Galvatron set where UM is in his Powered Convoy colors and Galvatron in his G1 toy colors as a reference to what they were originally colored in the first place Diaclone and TF related. Brave Maximus from Fort Max works well as a SDCC exclusive too.

Is someone who likes Windblade's designs and bought her toy on sight.

I like the sound of this box set, actually. A new Windblade mold is actually interesting to hear about. Hope it's not RID, though. That won't go with anything in my collection.

A Blurr and War for Cybertron colored Sentinel sound very interesting. Haven't ever gotten a Blurr or Brainstorm, so hearing that one may exist as a remold of the other just confirms that there could be some Autobots I want coming in. I kind of wanted Sentinel in Zeta colors.

That is a strange boxset...I wonder what's the in universe reason for it?

ah whatever I just got my Generations Brainstorm in the mail last night so I won't be needing this new one.

I hope Windblade gets a new mold though. the Hasbro Windblade I have kinda sucks. Slipstream is a better use of his mold.

+1. This year's TF SDCC exclusives did not sell out even on the HTS website right up until their recent deletion; agreed, a fancy Titan Fort Max please! Nice to see potential news about the TF exclusives this early. Thanks for the share, Scaleface :thumb
