Just spotted this on RK. Movie Advanced Deluxe Sideswipe. Redeco of DOTM Sideswipe in shiny silver with Crosshairs' guns AND the ol' blades. Looks to be an exclusive, and definitive version of the character. Ships... tomorrow? Pigs flying. Madness.

Cool, though I would have preffered the original mold.

You sure this is real? I would of thought the aoe line was pretty much done for awhile now

ROTF Sideswipe is easily one of my favourite movie toys. I only liked the head on DOTM Sideswipe better, personally found the mold a bit fiddly.

I don't think this guy can replace him.

RoTF SS is one of the few movie figures I have left.

Would've preferred the Deluxe Sidearm Sideswipe mold (my favorite iteration of the character in Deluxe form), perhaps retooled with the convertible/topless configuration that he sported in DOTM, and included some bonus twin separate (and screen accurate) blade/sword accessories. All in a metallic silver deco, of course.

But that's asking way too much, and the ship appears to have set sail on AOE/Advanced line merch.

Still, this looks interesting and I hope it's real and not just a canceled/teased figure (or even just a troll-y prank on the part of someone with too much time on their hands).

Still, if there's any other DOTM figures they feel like dollying up like this, I'd be greatly interested in a nicely done Que that's not an iffy G1 Wheeljack homage.

Sidearm is pretty sweet, but damn those freakin' huge forearms though.

The arms don't bother me too much. They kinda mirror his Human Alliance figure, with the Popeye forearms. :D  That's kinda why I wanted some snap-on (screen accurate/pointy sharp) twin sword accessories that are separate pieces and not necessary for transformation (similar to Leader Striker Optimus Prime's twin energon sword accessories) so Swipes can have his blades and kinda sorta hide the huge forearms while they're at it.

Hey, I quite like the G1 homage Deluxe Wheeljack figure. The colors/deco and head sculpt work for me. Sure, he's a bit light on accessories (OK, he has like no accessories at all, which is a bummer) but when he's all kitted up with gear, he's pretty boss (I gave him a lot of the weapons that come included with the Iron Factory Ultra Magus and Blaster Legends-ish figures). Also gave him an alternate transformation for his legs so he stands taller too (even if he's harder to pose without falling over).

Anyway, I wonder if we'll see Deluxe Leadfoot sooner rather than later. I still kick myself for passing on the original Takara release when I saw him in person at Japanese retail and, like many others, assumed that he'd be released Stateside as a Target exclusive (that didn't pan out, of course). Ocean made a decal/sticker sheet for Deluxe Leadfoot and it wouldn't make sense for them to do so for such a rare and limited release figure, IMHO.

the takara version of sidearm sideswipe is still the best version.. it's the most accurate and the guns are very cool.

i've never liked how the front of the car inaccurately became his chest on this version.

Yeah, aside from the overall fiddliness of the figure, the front fascia becoming his chest bugged me about the DOTM mold too. I paid aftermarket prices to get a hold of Takara Sidearm Swipes and I don't regret it one bit. Very cool figure.

Ah well, the addition of metallic silver paint (hopefully not a trick of the light or bad Photoshop) and Crosshair's guns are pretty neat though.

Wow, this came out of nowhere. I wonder if this was originally meant to be the cancelled Lost Age "AD-19" release. Pre-order pages did state it was an Autobot deluxe figure.

and a shiny DOTM Sideswipe....nice. I don't need it but still nice.

Got nothing on Sidearm Sideswipe. One of the 12 or so Movie toys I kept.

This is... unexpected, anyways I still have my original DOTM version, so I have no interest in this.

Yeah I saw this on RK's sight. It's tempting, but I have ROTF Sideswipe, and no way is this one replacing that on my movie shelf. Im still tempted to get it for my vehicle display though. If BBTS gets it, maybe, cause I have just enough store credit for this dude there.

Cool. Odd but cool. Don't have the mold but I certainly like how it looks more than the others. Sidearm is good but I don't know if I'd ever buy it since it lacks his blades. Still, I've never used RK so unless this new Swipe turns up on another store, I might pass on it.
