So, some google-fu helped me find this listing on local toyshop-chain "Játékvár" (Literally "Toy Castle")! Transformers Devastator óriás robot B0998 He costs 55.000 HUF - roughly 188$, which is still a lot cheaper than USA price+shipping+tax+customs. So, got one for myself... seems like they had only two on stock. However, the packaging is definitely international. So, he should be out in the EU everywhere soon.
So I assume the Slovakian release will also be in European packaging then. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/1055035-cw-devastator-available-slovakia.html
Did not see that thread, but yes, knew about it from Pavol. Was considering getting it through him before I found the Hungarian one. Is out of stock now, though - awaiting restock. So I guess they only had two... What about Germany? You guys got it yet?
No, apparently Hasbro claimed earlier this year we won't be getting him, but following these Eastern European releases, we've begun to doubt Hasbro's statement.
Hasbro doesn't know what they are saying, apparently. Nevermore, you have any idea what the heck should we do to finally get this news frontpaged? I am certain many European fans would like to know this, yet the TFW2005 staff's method of deciding what news to front-page mystifies me. Is it like throwing darts at a board blindfolded? Or do I need to be on first name basis with Kickback? It's rather maddening that this process seems to be totally random. Both Pavol and myself reported CW Devastator being out in Europe - with proof, heck I just saw Devatator in two Hungarian stores yesterday, too (though they were about 35$ more expensive there) - and yet this is not frontpaged. But some RID Deployers being out in Australia, that is frontpaged. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Europe has quite a lot more of a population - and by extension, Transformers fans -than Australia... where is the logic in this?
I have no idea. For a while I used to get all my various reports about new releases at German retail frontpaged, but at one point the staff stopped.
