I'm embarrassingly into these guys! I say bring on more. The only dud IMHO thus far has been Dragonus.

Kinda wish they'd release Jetstorm on his own. I'm not a huge fan of RID or its toys, but I enjoy Drift's mini cons in the show and I'd love to have them as desk toys without buying the ridiculous deployer drift.

Seriously? This line is just another of those that clog shelves and keeping Combiner Wars from showing up. Besides Slipstream the others all have terrible names anyway. Ugh, just more money saved for Marvel Legends.

I feel the same way, especially after that more fully painted Takara version of Jetstorm was shown. I just don't want those big ugly deployers. I did want the deployers when I thought they were going to be voyagers and look like the actual vehicles, but that was before I saw the first images of brick Drift with his front-end cut off and was like yeah no thanks.

Oh, I just realized Slipstream is likely a redeco:

The earlier waves' listings here, here and here listed Slipstream under the number 630509289189.

This new wave has Slipstream under the number 630509363629.

The last time this happened at BBCW Distributors, it ended up being a redeco.

Maybe he and Hammer are pals, kinda like Sledge and Hammer of the Micromaster combiners.

Apparently, there is something called the Back Hammer Lock in Jujitsu. Back Hammer Lock - Orange Belt Traditional Jujitsu - Ultimate Jujitsu

Maybe these guys are like miniature version of Bludgeon with a sense of honor and such? No clue yet.

Back and Hammer seem like really weak sounding names.

These things take up remarkably little space for the amount of them you can stick on a peg compared to a standard deluxe figure.

Not only that but the new release waves actually sell- unlike much of the Warrior class material. Which isn't to say that I don't like those figures- I very much do- but the mini's seem to be very popular.

    This.

I can't believe these minicons (in general) are selling out! :lol  I bought one (Wave 1), and the quality seemed bad - plastic felt light and fragile, transformation was embarrassingly basic (i.e. amateur hour?).

Yet, these are selling. I'm not sure why. I mean, it comes with a sprue kit of weapons, when most fans are solidly against model building (or they b*tch like they are! :lol ). They have bright colors (and most fans hate colors)...

Maybe they're just cheap enough to be a morbid curiosity and then an obsessive compulsive collecting thing?

Or maybe you don't have as good an idea of what many fans (and gasp kids) want as you think you do.

-ZacWilliam, fun simple transformations, cute designs. Cassette-reminiscent animal and small robot partners. Fun Kids Toys. I'm sold. All the more Minicons please.

Now that we've seen a Blizzard Strike redeco of the Deployer Drift & Jetstorm, it now makes more sense that this Slipstream is indeed a redeco, as it could be a "Blizzard" redeco to match those other two... particularly if this arctic camo theme is used on the cartoon, which already features both of those two Autobot Minicons.
