    This is definitely not Rodimus without the trailer. The silhouette doesn't match the figure at all. This has to be a new figure. But he does, at the moment, look very top heavy. Maybe it's just the angle the shadow is shot at.

    One must remember that Hot Rod(imus) wasn't a targetmaster in the Japanese continuity.

    Firebolt may not be a priority for TakaraTomy but would be nice to have.

    Wow! This came out of left field! So much for the MP28 Hound/Ratchet speculation. Interesting news to wake up to. Not my first choice at all, BUT very welcomed. MP09 will go back in the box and stored with MP05!

    Trust Takara to take a break from cars without actually taking a break from cars lol.

    Actually quite pleased with this, a masterpiece hot rod that can go on Magnus would be pretty neat.

    Silhouette looks a bit wonky, legs look skinny but it could look alot better when there is more detail instead of a huge black block. Hot Rod will be bigger than the MP cars though, I reckon around Ironhide sizeish.

    Potentially could look very sweet alongside MP09 style transformation pose. Odds on a MP09 getting reissued must be good now too. Galvatron to follow?

    I could not be happier! I've been pining for either a new Rodimus or Hot Rod ever since my Roddy became a glued-back-together statue. Hot Rod didn't even figure into the most promising speculation, so Takara still has some surprises for us. Love it!!

    As to the silhouette, you never really know how he'll look until they show the final product. Back kibble might not be that prominent when you see him in colour from the front, but a black silhouette will give you everything, magnifying the stuff that really is more out-of-the-way.

    If Hot Rod is next after Ironhide, then it looks like Taobao's MP Hound listing is off (maybe it's still coming but not right now). Taobao's listings got the last three regular MP releases right (Tracks, Road Rage, Ironhide).

    Haha that's awesome. Was totally expecting Ratchet or Hound. Takara you sneaky buggers :D . Mp-09 is my least favorite Masterpiece from a QC stance. Can't wait to see what Hot Rod is like. Hopefully they'll do an all in one transformation Rodimus Prime at some point in the future.
