Yeah, I agree. They did change it, but I'm guessing that the fear is enough to fight it, because the Government would probably be able to make the case that it's sort of close, and therefore it would still be a loss to their profits. I guess they just don't want to test the waters, for the fear of it all going badly:)

Yes, you pay for the item up front and then you pick the type of shipping (they give you quotes) when the item becomes available. They are supposed to email when the item comes in stock, but sometimes they don't and you have to check. Either way you have to 'request a shipping quote' they then sent quotes based on the types of shipping available, you pick the one you want and they send an invoice for the shipping cost. It's pretty simple after you actually do it once.

Hey bro, just wanted to thank you for the information you gave me with Anime Export. I've gone ahead and ordered the figure, making sure I get one before I miss out like last time. I had pre ordered the figure, before the entire Marlboro debacle, but once things were said and done, my preorder was canceled by BBTS, which was really frustrating, since I knew that the figures were sold by Ages Three and Up, but they were sold out before I even had a chance. It's nice to get the second chance and at really low prices to boot. So thank you for that info, I really needed it:)

    No problem.

If you are collecting MP's, you should start getting in on preorders from Japan sites. You save anywhere from $20-$30 most of the time over US sites. There are several, but the most common ones that I see (and use) are:

    amiami.com
    HLJ.com (a tfw2005 site sponsor)
    anime-export.com
    nippon-yasan.com

There are others, but these are the ones I know/use. Each of the ones I have listed have people that swear by a particular one and swear about a particular one. Each store handle things differently, so whatever your style you can pick the one you like.

    Hope the info helps.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely a Masterpiece collector, I only lack Thundercracker and Rodimus prime, but not sure about getting rodimus, as I've seen he has serious issues with panels that break off. I may get him in a reissue, but would have to think about it.

Before I forget, I did not collect any Pre MP 10 figures. I may have one, as I got the Gold Redeco of Megatron. I just love Transformers.hehe I only own one 3rd party figure though, I got Feral Rex, but currently, I've got all of the figures for Gravity Builder from Generation Toys on pre order. Aside from those, it's Masterpieces, Generations figures or Combiner Wars.. I have a few old figures though, and a few from the Movies, but I also recently ordered the Transformers Collectors club and got the 4.0 subscription service, so I have all of the figures from Combiner Wars. Hopefully I'll figure out how to post pics. I love how everyone here has their pics up, so I feel a bit jealous in that way:)

I've been hearing the after market value collapse all evening. Kinda exciting.

Sucks for everyone that paid waaaaaaaaaay too much on the first batch. But that's the way the game plays out. At least those who bought Sideswipe at inflated prices won't feel as burned now.

I hear TFSource is going to take orders to "customize" this batch too. All you have to do is send in your figure, ten bucks and the cost of shipping both ways and they'll "modify" the figure to conform to Philip Morris' compliance standards.

    Awesome, thanks guys!

I was just literally gonna throw down for the KO version, but I'm really pleased that I can now buy the official one. I'd rather buy official over KO always.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Autobase Aichi theorizes that this is leftover Hasbro Asia stock that was produced but could not be sold. So TakaraTomy is now selling this stock.

I guess the way to tell would be the date stamp on the packaging.

I'm on the fence about getting Exhaust. I only collect G1 MP's, so I never even heard of him until recently. Thing is, I don't want to NOT get it, then find out that it's going for $100+ when I finally decide to take the plunge.

Pre-ordered. I'm fine with the altered paint job.

And I'm perfectly honest: I didn’t care for this the first time, at all, but after it came out and I saw in-hand pics and read the translation of the glorious bio I was on board with this.

Will be great to have a smaller Decepticon for my display that isn't a cassette as well.

If you consider Diaclone history as a part of G1, why not? At least from an historic toy perspective he's intersting.
I'm getting him because I just think he looks cool :)

Yeah this was an odd release. Like this would have to be the fastest an MP release was ever re-released right? I mean he came out in March, and now 8 months later we're getting the re-release.

Also for what it's worth, Anime-Export is now limiting this to 1 per customer. It was 6 when it was first listed.

edit. Amiami is also done with preorders.
