Does the "hip fix" refer to his legs being stable in combined mode? Because I may get an extra MM and keep my first run version with his PE upgrades for display.

Only difference I can tell on the new box is the imprinted numbers on the back are different. Everything else looks the same.

I am assuming the box date stamp should be newer from 2015 to show the newer MM is Wave 4?

Also "Running change" or "defect", I will have no issue buying the V2 and then returning the V1 to store (to Hasbro) as defective.

I wonder if the fixed hips are applied to the single rerelease on preorder on BBTS? If not that article on Seibertron gives me the impression it can be fixed without replacing the gears by adjusting the gear in the front part of the thigh by a degree or two.

Does Nonnef's upgrades do the same thing? I thought that this version also let the legs have a little more space in Combined mode? I know when I use Dead End and Wildrider as legs on my Hasbro they are practically rubbing against each other. But when I look at UW Menasor, there seems to be a larger gap between the two.

It's a running change to a design flaw they discovered. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

The known issues with V1 Motormaster are the hips that have trouble holding together in combined mode, the leg flaps used to secure the hips not holding on very well, and the chest not being able to hold Blackjack. There's also the arms becoming unpegged in gestalt mode on some units (mine has that issue). Not sure how many of those the new version addresses, though.

I'm glad they fixed his hips, even though I didn't think there was a problem, but hey kudos?

Did they also fix where Black Jack attached MM as well? I ask because I see BJ attached to MM in these pics.

Just buy the new MM and swap out your old for the new and get your money back. just make sure that you tell the store that the toy is defective so no ones gets the old design.

I just flip the legs around, Menasor looks cooler with the Wheels out in front.

Will this in anyway affect the A stance on the PE upgrade kit?

They have a term for that.

If you can't get past your entitlement, fine, but the kids get dibs...

usually i'll agree.. but hasbro released a defective figure.. if they're not going to take care of it officially, some people will take it into their own hands.. plus, if you return something saying that it's defective, how is that going to affect an unsuspecting kid?

oh.. and what about the unsuspecting kids who own this defective figure and can't get it to stand properly.. what about them?

personally, i don't care enough, i can get motormaster to stand well enough.. but still.. hasbro SHOULD do something.. like send us the updated ratchet joint for starters. i mean, i'm sure there are a decent amount of people who have evidence of purchasing the original version, whether it's the box they've kept, a receipt, a credit card listing, or even people who bought it directly from HTS.

i just find it rather lame that they come up with a fix for something that should've been fine in the first place.
