Never saw Metroplex at my local Costco and I really want elbows on my Constructicons....but MAN am I going to feel dumb when I spend $200+ on UW Devy and walk into a Costco selling him for $100.

Ooof, that's rough man - he was $132 cdn last week during their "30% off Transformers over $19.99" sale. And only $122 with an online coupon and close to free shipping too.

So I paid just under $93 usd for him before sales tax.

So, it's time to renew my Costco membership, is what you're saying.

It would be EPIC if they got an exclusive, like a yellow or orange version. And then only like ten Costcos actually got him in like what happened with Metroplex...

I was at my Costco today and they just started the Fall Reset in Electronics and they have 1/2 of the Christmas Toy area in place. Hopefully we will have a concrete answer soon.

Awesome deal :)  I got it too. It was free shipping if you didn't order anything else to increase the weight.

The hell? I'm only paying ¥20480 ($170) shipped for UW Devastator. You're obviously looking in the wrong place.

Costco is awesome and their prices are always good. My Costco had a pallet of metroplexes two years ago, but I passed since I already had the sdcc version. I may have to pick it up if I see Devy at Costco though, I don't think we will get a better price than we will from Costco and Devy looks pretty darn awesome.

If they got a G2 version, I'd definitely pick up a second one

Other than the $0 price HasbroToyShop accidentally set the SDCC one earlier today that a few of us managed to snag. :D

Seriously though, I'm glad that CostCo will be selling it, since I know Walmart and Target tend to see these kind of big ticket items as anathema. So any brick and mortar store besides TRU willing to risk it, deserves kudo.

We have word from the inside in Canada which stores are getting Devy, and the shitty news is that...not as many locations as you'd think. The entire province of British Columbia (2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver?) isn't getting ANY, if you go by what our source is telling us (and he's quite credible).

I'm interested to see what (if any) differences are in the 'merican Devys. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if they have 'some' kinda extras. Costco is awesome that way. But as far as price goes, I wouldn't be surprised if he's more than Metroplex was...here, they're selling things like the Frozen play castle for 200 CDN (around 175 USD)...that's pretty pricey for a Costco toy. I wouldn't be surprised if it lands around 110 CDN, 120 tops.

It's mentioned in that thread that Costco.ca will carry it for $10 more which includes shipping. Price is going to be 139 cad in store and 149 online.

That was after a few weeks...still mad I returned mine oh well. Although if they do get Dev too I'm still good with the one I got from TRU cause the price isn't overall too bad for what I paid for it.

It was pretty cool. A few guys in my area put together a trip to a nearby CostCo and picked up like a dozen of them at $80 each and hauled them back up North for the rest of us.

I don't know about Walmart, but Target does have Devy up on their website (though lately it's been bouncing in and out of availability. I've been keeping my eye on it for a price drop as I've got coupons and the RedCard for when the moment is right.

The main reason CostCo can afford to have these at their physical locations and Target/Walmart can't is because they have the space for these types of items. They don't have a dedicated toy department in the same way Target/Walmart does, so there's room to just drop palettes of Devy and wait for people to pick through.

Toys R Us is a dedicated toy store, so they've got the warehouse/backroom space to hold on to such a figure. Target/Walmart just don't.

Our Metros never really moved more than half a pallette...actually not bad given the price. They were never put on clearance, however. If that's what happens with CW Devy?...looks like I'm picking up a third :D  But this is news that it will be available online. I heard that wouldn't be the case. The thing is that TRU just had that big 30% sale last week, so it brings it down to that that price (and possibly less). I doubt they'll go discounted online, and since it's a limited release in Canadian outlets, it's just another way of getting a Devy.
