After what seemed like an awfully long time... Madman Entertainment has finally had the time and decency to release Transformers Prime's second season on blu-ray for Australia and New Zealand.

    Transformers: Prime - Season 2 (Blu-Ray)

It will be released on the 14th of October in 2015.

Definitely putting this on my preorder list because my TFP season one blu-ray has been very lonely.

Does anyone know what changed their mind on this release? They were pretty adamant in the past they wouldn't release anymore of Prime on blu-ray due to season 1's poor sales. I'm also curious if Season 3 and Predacon Rising are going to get BR releases.

I think at this point Hasbro should just release all of the Transformers cartoons in digital distribution format worldwide, they're making it too difficult for people to pick up every episode on DVD and Blu-Ray. The US doesn't even have the 2001 RID series and the UK doesn't even have Beast Wars. I'm thankful we finally got all 3 seasons of Prime here in the UK but I really want to get all 3 seasons of Animated on DVD too, in widescreen format of course. Thus I think it would be easier for everyone if they released each show digitally worldwide, just like how you can buy the comics digitally.

That is a good question. Prime's been over for awhile and any fan input on the matter would have died down by now, so for them to do this it does seem a bit odd. Maybe they just wanted to put out another Transformers Blu-Ray before the holidays hit?
