Yeah, that's the one I mean.

Are there any Japanese stores with preorders for him yet?

Didn’t they start putting pre-order sup the start of the month the items release? At least that's what it has been with this Adventure-line for a while now.

Oh well, I start camping at HLJ anyways, I need that Grimlock.

And man he looks awesome! I don't see any sticker on him, but also no Autobot-logos...

I knew I'd end up liking Battle Grimlock just from the prototype picture but seeing him in full color, man that is one beautiful toy.

Still amazed by how much of a retooling job they did to make an accurate looking RID Grimlock.

I noticed that as well. I wonder if he'll be like Combiner Wars Megatron and let us have the option of either faction symbol via included stickers.

    Agreed 100%!

That would be sweet, but if not I wouldn’t be too sad about it. So far that's about the only thing I can complain about though.

Yes, the teeth could have been better of white or silver, the green is a bit lighter than the one in the show and I expected his sword and shield to be blue since many energy weapons in RiD are, but it still looks great.

And of course, it looks much better than the Warrior-class toy and scales better with the other Warrior-class Autobots.

Most likely, these toys always release at the end of the month.

TAV Grimlock actually looks better than the original mold.

True enough, plus symbol sticker sheets are easy enough to pick up online so not big loss there, just be nice to have them included.

As for the figure itself I agree with what you're saying. There's nitpicks here and there and some places that could be better but considering how much work must have gone into the remolding of this guy I can't complain. Plus if it wasn't for them our options for RID Grimlock would be either too small Warrior Grim or weird looking blocky 3-step change Grim.

I think it may be because of the colors. Generations Grimlock used a lot of dull colors but here that bright green on black just makes the toy pop.

Yep, this and those sweet yellow "stripes".

The proportions also fit this Grimlock much better, the "fat tail" that people complained about on the FoC-version actually works here because RiD-Grimlock's tail is rather big and not as lengthy as the FoC-one.

And oddly enough, the normal fists and legs on this Battle Grimlock that are not show accurate look really good. Like, the hands are excusable since you wouldn’t really see his claws in a fist anyways, but the normal looking legs fit the character really good as opposed to the dino-feet he has in the cartoon.

I'm liking this toy a lot so far, I hope Japanese retailers put pre-orders up soon.

Now THIS is how you do a repaint/remold. Takara is leagues ahead of Hasbro.

Lol a second release of Frenzy/Rumble, Battle Grimlock, and the Legends Femcons. I need some import money to give to Takara pronto! Hasbro can go screw themselves until they acknowledge BW 20th and do somthing with it. (Or you know import these guys over here instead of more shameless repaints of awful figures nobody bought.)

Man, I was already impressed by how well the FOC mold worked for RID Grimlock just going by the prototype. The coloured pics just look more cool. Takara is definitely the way to go for RID15.

I don't have any strong feelings on Rumble and Frenzy's deco changes but I liked the previous versions enough, so thinking these are as good is enough for me. Having missed the previous versions, these will be mine!

Don't really care for the Jezz mold, even with a lot less white paint, so Stepper doesn't interest me. I really don't like mixing a ton of bright yellow with a bit of blue so I won't be getting Bee either.
