I was thinking about that. There's a a very good domestic online retailer that has it available but I'd have to pay for shipping. Meanwhile there's an ebay seller in China who can ship it out less the US retailer's shipping cost plus I'll earn towards ebay bucks. Decisions, decisions.
The people I bought mine from would not exchange mine with rather noticeable paint rubs on the silver hood.. and the somewhat matte color as compared to the deep gloss paint on streak has caused mine to be banished to his box after I opened it the first time...
After seeing all these paint issues, it kind of makes me glad I bought the KO. It's a gorgeous figure, but $80+ for a repainted car bot is way too much... at least for me.
I will only say one of the US resellers,it is rather common to drag them through the mud so I will refrain from naming them as it does not benefit me any by doing so but I was told that they could not promise a replacement would not have the same issue. In response to Sixo's pictures that could make a lump of coal look like a priceless diamond... here is a pair of streaks, you can see the pain rubs on each side of the hood bulge but can't see the scratch over the autobot logo. You can also see the high gloss on streak reflecting the house behind me, it's silver is not quite as reflective.. but none of the paint on Blue is shiny, it is just matte.
I'll definitely be getting the official version of this. Overall I've been happy with the quality of official datsun/lambo/lancia molds. The only carbots I'm going the ko route with are the stingray corvette molds for Tracks/Road Rage/Loud pedal.
