Good evening from Japan. UW-02 Menasor was released in Japan. The illustration of the UW off shot is placed in the manual. The earthian of the off shot is Auggie Cahnay Jr.
I think the only one of the set that really looks better is Motormaster, and only by a small amount. Breakdown is pretty much the same as his Hasbro counterpart, bar the blue hands, and the other three look a lot duller than their Hasbro counterparts Dragstrip also seems to be a very lemony-yellow on some parts of his vehicle mode, which was kind of unexpected. I'm glad I've gone Hasbro for these combiners
The only figure I can say I like more than Hasbro's version is Wildrider since the grey legs do look better. The rest are just about the same or inferior for the most part.
Well, I said I'd buy the Takara one if they gave me painted side windows on Motormaster. They didn't give me much else, but a promise is a promise..
Strangely they've seem to have traded Breakdown's HFG for another of Dragstrips. I can only presume this is so that there's two matching pairs of HFGs like Superion but than you lose the unique interaction and functionality of Breakdown's HFG. Don't ask why I noticed that instead of the actual toys.
Mine is "packing" so should have it in about a week. Dead end without the stripe just feels wrong......

That Stunticon illustration of them playing go-cart was the best. Just like UW01's BBQ drawing, I can't wait to see Guardian's (Defensor) illustration.
I am aware that Dragstrip is yellow, but in that comic he has 2 types of yellow. Why can't they do that?
I know, but TT is going for cartoon accurate here. Deadend in the G1 cartoon was a dark red car with no stripe. The toy has the iconic stripe we all remember. So half the time, Hasbro gets it right.
