If they have to recolor him (again), why not go the Exhaust route and make a new head to give us a new character?

You assume they won't do those.

Bumblebee's mold is one that's milkable with repaints for a very long time.

 

Not bothered about red bumblebee but it looks like there's some new ironhide pictures too.

 

Well we all knew that was happening. There was a red Bumblebee just like there was a yellow Cliffjumper, and MP loves repaints and weird historical references, there ya go.
I wonder how many Bumblebee repaints we'll get. Could be a bunch.

G1 cliffjumper isn't actually a bumblebee repaint with a new head contrary to popular belief so this isn't really an MP cliffjumper

Except that Goldbug is quite a bit more different than simply needing a new head. Also needs new arms, legs, chest, feet... if all they did was stick a new head on Bumblebee, that'd be quite disappointing, IMO.
