I mean I like the figure overall but I actually do feel it takes away from the figure a bit, much moreso in alt mode

HLJ prices aren't a lot more than what appears to be standard US retail price for a Deluxe now, and SAL shipping
will be cheap. If you want them may as well go order them.

She and Dinobot should put on a Shakespeare play. :p

I want Blackarachnia but at the same time i'd rather have a new mold, plus it doesn't help that IDW is reusing the TFA design.

I only have Slipstream and nightbird preordered.

Since blackarachnia from a toy that was already blackarchnia seemed redundant.

I might come around though I don't care for the mandibles being changed into transmetal armor, it just looks odd in spider mode.

They do make a cool set concept. Fembot villains from three generations.

If I thought she would scale with the forthcoming MP Primal, Black Arachnia would SO be mine. (As with Legends Arcee.) Just an amazing likeness. For those who love this scale, she will be an amazing addition if you love Beast Wars. Just look at her. Wow.

it just kills me that they took a Generations toy (windblad)and gave it such an Animated-aesthetic head sculpt, I'd love to add a new unique seeker, but that head would be a sore thumb in a Classics display.

Black Arachnia on the other hand looks fantastic, hard to believe that was ever an Animated toy.

Yeah, I might just do that, thanks.
I've been tempted by the 3P Crasher "Cocomone", but what I really want is a Crasher update with the correct alt mode car.

I took it as a classics/generations styled version of a animated character.

But maybe its just that I find her better looking than the funpub one they made from prime starscream.

Planning to display her with the fall of cybertron deluxes anyway.

Call me crazy, but I'd prefer something a little more organic.

Fracture is certainly a cool figure. I was fortunate enough to get one pretty cheap (mostly because I love Crasher and I wanted a new fembot).

However, she doesn't really represent Crasher that well. Not really because of the mould since Classics Mirage is one of the best figures from the Classics line and despite that Crasher originally was kinda bulky, I can still see her in those proportions.

The problem is the colour scheme that doesn't really scream "Crasher" to me, it should have used a better distribution of black to actually evoke her traditional look and of course, lipstick.

I'm hoping that since Takara is using old moulds like Animated Blackarachnia, they will eventually release a Crasher from the Mirage mould with a proper look (and hopefully along with a Road Rage and Glyph).

Yes, it would've been nice if Blackarachnia got a new figure, but this is more than a fair substitute. Just look at the comparison posted! They look like different toys!

For the love of God, Beast Wars fans! Stop turning your nose up at everything thrown to us. Between this and the reaction to Manta Ray, I dare say certain BW fans are falling into the same cliches usually assigned to "Geewunners".

The problem being that G1 fans don't have to settle for retooled Animated toys for 'updated' versions of the favourite characters. So why should we?

Because, like it or not, Beast Wars isn't the most popular aspect of the franchise. I'd prefer updated Beast Wars characters to G1 guys too, but I'm realistic about it. Besides, everything about this toy that had the Animated aesthetic has been retooled. Unless you were already familiar with Animated BA, you wouldn't identify this toy as being from that line.
