I'm concerned that Titan Wars PMOP would look like Powered Convoy with an Optimus head. Even a 'heavy remold' isn't far enough in my opinion. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised, (if there is an element of truth to this).

I actually go for a Headmaster Soundwave from the TW Blaster Mold.

    Same here.

I feel like these might be leader class, though.
Compare the leaked Blaster image to CW Ultra Magnus and Minimus Ambus.
Pretty close match in terms of size between the big guy and the little one, right?
Legends cassettes are slightly larger than the little headmaster/powermaster bots.

It also makes sense to have a leader class Soundwave.
We've gotten Megatron and the seekers in that size class.
With the cassettes, they'll complete the '84 Decepticon cast.

As for the Powrmaster Prime, I think most of us saw it coming.
I'm actually excited for it and I wasn't a huge fan of the original.
Transformation works, just remold the trailer parts and it'll be good.
Extra points if they remold the flip up chest piece to look like God Ginrai/apex armor.
I personally think It'll look good even if they leave it out, just have the truck cab chest.

PM/HM Leader Class Optimus Prime sounds awesome! I guess that totally debunks my theory that the Astrotrain pre-tool was Optimus, but I can't say I'm not happy with the news!

The other stuff we pretty much knew was coming, but its still all good news. Eject however is interesting, didn't the listings have Rewind with no sign of Eject?

Well, I truly hope that if the Powermaster Optimus is actually a heavy remould it actually adds a proper trailer and it's eventually redecoed by Takara as Ginrai (although it will be a shame if it's a figure that only transforms along with the trailer since it would miss the point of the original toy).

I'm also interested about the size of Blaster/Soundwave. Hope it's a Voyager.

Maybe it was Prime's headmaster on Astrotrain's body we saw in those blueprint leaks.

Hope we're getting Rewind first. It's bad enough he was left out the previous two G1 Blaster reissues.

A third party company can always make a replacement cab that transforms into an Optimus.

They can later reuse it for Ultra Magnus. I'd buy them both!

    Those are indeed reasonable solutions.

OMG that is EXACTLY what I want. I hope he still maintains the general aesthetic of Powermaster Optimus Prime and they don't strap on molded in Apex armor and wings; I want a beefed up Optimus Prime that looks like a traditional Optimus, much in the same way that Leader class Megatron looks.

If later on I want to make him into Apex Armor wearing Optimus Prime there is always 3rd party upgrades

I guess I'm the odd guy out, but I dislike the Headmasters gimmick, so a line forcing the gimmick on non Headmasters isn't for me.
    Oh well.

Even the Powermaster Prime was pictured in those images from botcon (theline art). I don't think these guys know anything, they're just guessing based on the botcon line art and the previously known computer listings

See I enjoy when they mix things up. If they make Cloudburst as a Pretender and Sureshot as a Targetmaster that's okay, but making Cloudburst into a combiner limb and Sureshot into a Triplechanger, that's trying something new and exciting.

I could take or leave the headmaster gimmick.

I think the fact they are making a leader Soundwave is awesome, but a leader Soundwave (just like the leader seekers) throws off my (internal) scale preference and too many of these guys makes my combiners and deluxes look a bit strange, so I may be forced to skip this one.

    With that said I think it is great that Hasbro has essentially made a more economic version of the Masterpiece line;

    Leader Magnus
    Leader Megatron
    Leader Optimus
    Leader Seekers
    Leader Soundwave

These sets of leaders will run you around $350. Not too bad when you compare that the same set of characters in Masterpiece form will cost around $1000.

Hey Scaleface, you seem to be in the know, do you think leader Optimus will look more Powermaster or Apex Armor? I am really hopping for the former.

"Confirmed"?, like official word? Well jeez... Blaster isn't "confirmed".

I think all signs point to Leader class though.

A new Soundwave figure is always welcome, and I'm drooling over the possibility of a Powermaster Prime. But if Hasbro replace Minimus Ambus with Ginrai, then what will be the Headmaster unit?

I can't imagine Hasbro would have Ginrai, but Hi-Q. The headmaster unit... the rumor is the heads are little versions of the main character, so the headmaster would be Optimus Prime.

With the name "Titan Wars" and this rumor of heads being the same characters, I imagine the idea is like this: the line is at a different scale where the regular Transformers are the heads and they have these titanic (Transtector) bodies they control.
