The handling of this thing is beyond bizarre.

 

Agree, I rather just miss out on this even though its one of the big boys that's missing from my collection. These must be in Asia or something. Hopefully this thing is still coming down the pike.

 

Yeah, it's strange there's no updates or news... the seeker pack was up on sale @ target.com right when they made the announcement. I was certain this guy will drop in. I checked all august and now its Oct.

Though im still waiting, glad mp 28-29 came out to hold my attention.

 

For such a pricey product you'd think Hasbro would give more attention to it and provide more updates. I'm guessing that they cannot make an announcement until it's determined 100% whether Target or Amazon is going to sell it.

 

I am pretty sure their tweet for amazon was meant to correct an error and put and end to our doubts.

 

Mine is supposed to arrive here Friday from TCP. Pretty excited. This is a pretty iconic bot and a big hole in my G1 collection.  

Looks like they still have 6 left. What price are you all expecting/hoping to find this guy for eventually? The UK and AUS retail prices were pretty bonkers according to the other thread.

£199.99 = $306 USA

$399 AUD = $286 USA

 

I'm beginning to wonder if this thing is ever going to be officially released in U.S. at this point.

 

Their communication sucks. It's unreliable at best. They clearly don't know what is going on with their own products half the time. This is a sign of a company that is too big for it's own good and really inefficiently run. We had no official word forever on this, had to get it through backdoor channels despite having official conventions, the news had an error, and now even the corrected news appears to be false or at the very least, misleading.

It's very disrespectful to us and you have wonder if they really want our money or just take it for granted.

I think anything less than $200 is what we are hoping for. I would be quite pleased if it was 170 or even 180.

To be fair, this seems to be more of a case of Amazon dragging their feet, as usual. Target has had their exclusives up for a couple months, Amazon always takes their sweet time and never bothers to announce when orders are supposed to go live.

 

I'm hoping for anywhere from $150 (best case scenario) to $180. For me, given I'm in CA so sales tax will be an added cost, I'm hoping for $170, otherwise I may as well have stuck with the TFSource preorder I'd originally placed but ditched when I thought a US listing was "imminent."

Talk about buzzkill. I was kind pumped for Tryp's release, but lately, just kinda meh'd with all the other awesome stuff coming out. Is Target the only brick n mortar place that's gonna get him?

 

I want to know that too. I'm looking forward to being able to walk into a Target and buying it with my red card to save 5%.

Have the Seekers been released there yet?

 

The Coneheads were spotted at retail previously, yes, though I don't know how widespread it was that they were physically in stores (my Targets never had them).

Given the Amazon-related Hasbro tweet, I'm not so sure Trypticon will show up at Target at all, online or at retail....though Hasbro's lack of complete clarification on this release doesn't help matters.
