I was hoping Velocitron would be packed with roads and freeways, like in CYBERTRON. But this is an interesting portrayal too, it fits with the "survival of the fastest" concept that world lives by.
Hmmm. I am not crazy about the art it is too organic. I would add more angles and more mechanical look.
Moonracer referred to cities, plural, as racing themselves. This is probably just the standard across the planet. Will be interesting to see what's the Titan itself is like. Also, seen this in Riddick and the Star Wars novels.
I'm loving the art, I think it's a nice stepping stone from Sarah Stone's artwork to the more standard art of, say, Alex Milne or Casey Collier. I think the Ironhide alt mode is definitely his WfC body, which he's had all the way through RiD (AND WE STILL NEED A DELUXE TOY OF PLEASE HASBRO), just further stylized/simplified in Corin's pencils.
I'm glad we have an artist that's trying to make the book more colourful, but I'm still not 100% behind it. There were some really bad moments in the last issue, and this one still has that problem of having a city built for racers being comparatively smaller than Tokyo considering how big Windblade looks standing next to it.
The art is not bad in itself I guess, but it looks like it's aimed at younger readers. The story is still fun.
Why exactly does IDW think its a good idea to have both Windblade and MTMTE out on the same day. Windblade totally come out on another week...and then the wait would be a little lesser unbearable.
Scott is fast become a firm favourite of mine ^_^ her dialogue sounds so natural and fun to read. The art is growing on me, it's quite cute but I really hope we get Stone back at some point. Perhaps the two artists could alternate issues?
