It already looks like a curbstomp battle even in this prevew.  

Maybe next time Chromia will try with another easy opponent, like... Whirl?

Yes. Her fight with Starscream showed that Chromia is quite skilled, but she's not Arcee skilled, because almost no-one is!

 

Yeah, it'd be kind of ridiculous should Chromia end up on top here considering Arcee has always been considered a powerhouse in IDW. The Chromia/Ironhide thing would have been sweeter should they have had more in common like things appeared earlier in the first mini. Ah well, either way things are looking decently interesting here. I'll be glad if this is the last story IDW ever produces with a combiner in it.

 

I'd say Whirl, Cyclonus, maybe Drift depends from how good he's with swords (but probably Drift couldn't match her with a gun).

It was pretty consistent in IDW that Arcee/Whirl/Cyclonus are about as good at fighting as a non-P.O.P. mech can be...

 

Oh dear, I'm starting to think Arcee picked up a couple of Prowl's bad habits. First the habit of doing things without bothering to check with anyone else if it's a good idea, no matter how much you think it's neccisary. Secondly, based on the preview pages with Victorion, the bad habbing of them backfiring.

And she's on the high-side of that batch- Ultra Magnus had difficulty arresting her, for that matter.

I have a suspicion that aside from the obvious, Jhiaxus probably enhanced her body's performance, kinda like how Hot Rod is noted to be enhanced for speed.

 

Elita-1 is supposedly one of her favorites so that episode is going to be unduly influential for her.

 

Still I wish she would go for a different route mostly for the sake of exploiting the possibilities of the new universe.

Look at the classic (fan-created?) relationship between Hot Rod/Arcee or Arcee/Springer, that was pretty popular in its time but now I don't think any of these characters even had a conversation in the IDW universe and I think is for the better. They didn't go for the predictable way.

That's why I'm hoping they're not making Blackarachnia/Silverbolt here (nor a Tigatron/Airazor for that matter).
