Waaaait....I just had one of those OMG the world finally makes sense moments. sortof related but not... This got me super interested cause it's a cool looking robot that transforms, so then I started googling "Dia Battles" which led me to "Diakron Multi-force" and pictures of the packaging/box, etc. and a thousand lightbulbs went off in my head: I HAVE DIAKRON!!! I always thought it was some knockoff random whatever toy, but now it's all coming back to me. I know exactly where the box and toys are. I remember even playing with them and my Transformers as a kid and noticing how the tiny human pilots fit perfectly in Starscream or the random Dinobot chest areas...even Optimus Prime's trailer purple turret thingy that I couldn't figure out why they existed.
Congrats! It's a lovely feeling learning you have / had one of these vintage toys, isn't it? I had a version of the Multiforce 14 / Gats Blocker. Great toy. Lots of fun.
That's the very one I have!!! Somehow reading this thread also triggered the memory of getting the toy to begin with - it HAD to be a trip I went on with my Dad to Hong Kong/Japan when I was 5...I remember keeping G Blocker in a lunchbox and playing with it over there.
I never thought they'd bring Diaclone back. Maybe this will be repurposed as a future Transformers figure. Why wasn't this part of the G1 toyline? Everytime I hear WARUDERS. All I can think of is Dio Brando's Stand.
I got a Diakron in the box, totally complete at a garage sale when I was nine. I freaking loved that thing! We moved around so much in those years that all of the cool toys I had got left behind or lost. But, boy do I have a ton of memories of them!
On the takara webpage its saying this is a reboot but there calling it a Hobby Project item, Whatever that means.
Im thinking generations might fit better with this than masterpiece because the diaclone figures look to small to ride the masterpiece vehicles.
Back in the 80s, I did not know who Dia Battle was and even if I did, would not able to afford one. But King Dam, he was the one that I got back then. Love it cause he was my TF back then since I couldn't afford the real TF until later on. This prototype looks amazing! Very interested!

I always wanted pilots for those little cockpits in the dinobots and optimus!! This looks awesome and I want it yesterday!! Please don't be too ridicuously expensive...my poor wallet has already sacrificed so much of its vital contents. But this will be hunted down.
Let's hope the Diaclone Reboot figures don't go for crazy prices. I'm interested in this line. Updated Diaclones are a must-have, if you can afford it.
I wonder if we may get a special line that has repaints of some TF characters llike the Lambor twins be done in their original Diaclone colours as a way to help promote/celebrate the return of Diaclone?
Yup and also FOC Soundwave, Soundblaster, and Blaster have a seat on top of there vehicle mode that a diaclone pilot can sit on.
