Cybertron Phillipines have put a picture up that appears to show Typticon's new box art for his platinum reissue along with tray contents suggesting his release isn't too far off.

There is talk of a Pre-order happening locally....no confirmation when and how much yet.  

Edit: There is a call for the pre-order already but no price and availability yet.

Price schmice - IS HE MOTORIZED.

I want to know so I can gauge whether or not a) he's worth the cost and b) if I need to try and find a junker with transplantable electronics.

 

Any word on if this is being released in the US? I'd rather avoid paying TFS/BBTS/etc's markup. And this is really tempting.

 

Pretty sure it's a US release; we just don't know where/how much yet.

Probably gonna get him for my Classics collection as the odds of a Generations Trypticon happening are hahahahahahahaha.

 

If he comes out in the US and isn't to overpriced I'd love to get him. I've never had G1 Trypticon being a youngster and all, but this has always seem like a wonderful figure that would serve as a faithful representation of Trypticon in my collection. I only wish his colors where a tad darker though.


Now that I've said this, watch me get it and we get a Titan Trypticon in 2016.

Hoping the price is a placeholder as well, and that he's aiming high because it's easier to adjust prices downwards for those that preordered then take a loss if you guessed wrongly.

 

Really hard for me to get excited for this release as I had the original and sold him off years ago. Just no room in the budget but definitely a great buy for some especially if you have kids.

 

Hooray, but oh boy there is a lot of wasted space in that box.

For those that have followed the history a little more closely, what are the chances of seeing a modern update (thinking Titan Class Metroplex) of Trypticon following this news? I've always wanted a Trypticon but I'm willing to wait if the chances are even slightly leaning towards a modern update.
