    Cool, glad to see this looks to be confirmed.

    I wouldn't mind if this dropped in August rather than July though, if that ETA is likely and not just a guestimate.

    I try not to buy G1 Reissues anymore but I might check this out. Too much good third party stuff, like Maketoys CityBots

    Don't worry, If the recent insecticons set is anything to go by it'll have really awful stickers that aren't worth crap and need a reprolabel set anyway. Oh and cheap plastic.

    Would this be the first reissue ever to be sold by Hasbro before being released by Takara?

    Seems awfully odd, doesn't it?

    Apparently Hasbro's reissue of Ricochet/Stepper was announced before Takara's, and being a Takara specific character that was FAR more odd. At a time where Takara isn't really reissueing G1 figures but Hasbro is there's nothing strage about this.

    Why would the plastic be any different? Is this from your personal experience and do you have proof the plastic is cheaper?

    I can't speak for the Insecticons, but I thought the plastic in the Conehead reissue set was on par with my OG G1 jets.


    2015 is turning into a pretty good year. I've been waiting a while for this reissue. Trypticon is one of the last 4 figures I need from 1986 and the last G1 baseformer I need as well. Awesome!

    This is certainly interesting news. I definitely wouldnt mind having a decepticon city in my display, the poor decepticons have been basically homeless for the longest time.

    I'd be interested, never owned a G1 Trypticon. Hopefully this doesn't mean a Hasbro Blitzwing/Astrotrain style redeco :puke: 

    Would prefer Encore for the G1 box art 'n stuff though.
