Occams Razor and everything. It just seems most likely that it's just Hasbro wanted a Legends Groove and Takara is only interested in doing the pure G1 teams.

I guess that's also very possible.

That last reason is the reason. It’s as simple as that.

It doesn't really matter, does it?

What matters is whether it falls in the same category as Brakeneck / Quickslinger. Because I want the figure, but I don't want to have to buy the whole gift set to get him.

The fact that Takara is only selling these figures in giftsets (and that Defensor is further difficult because of his store exclusivity) is causing rage bubbles in my brain.

See, thank god I wait until Takara unveils their product before jumping on this now.

Though truth be told I think I'll just end up sticking with the Takara one on Defensor.

That's what I did, once I heard Hasbro wasn't doing the real Groove update, I decided then and there to go with Takara on this one combiner and not buy any Hasbro Protectabots, especially since I never wanted Rook. Alpha Bravo and Off Road, ok, I actually like those guys as individual figures, just not on my Combiners, even then, they still make decent limbs. Rook, to me, looks like ass as a limb, stupid set up in arm mode and too damn bulky in leg mode...his bot mode is ruined by those hands... And I sure as hell was not going to stick a Legends Class figure on Rook in leg mode and make the damn thing even more bulkier looking...to me, that looks horrible.

My stance after seeing UW Defensor is just to wait for Takara, period. It's paying off with their Devastator, which I am most definitely taking over Hasbro's.

Ha! Neat but I suppose a Commander-sized Legends figure would look best riding Groove.

I actually wonder if a GI Joe would look good on him...

That could work too. Or one of the smaller Revoltech figures.

A bit on the fence now.

I initially really liked the grey color scheme on Streetwise. However, I'm starting to think that white actually looks much better for the kind of figure he is and it makes the rest of the details contrast better.

Speaking about Hot Spot, still loving the richer light blue but hate the lack of details.

Slightly off-topic, but not really, but kinda:
RtS WrekGar is IMO one of the best Deluxe figures.

What were you expecting with a Deluxe-sized bike that has to turn into both a limb and a robot that's the same size as the other limb-bots?

    But he breaks so easily.
