That's the Canadian TRU site, so price is CAD.

No joke, I didn't even have time to read any of the news, I just clicked on the TRU link and pre-ordered faster than you can say "how much does this cost?"...done and done. Would have been nice to get the 30%, but you can't win em all.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know why the Canadian preorders seem to last so much longer than the American ones? Are there more units allotted to online sales, or is it simply a matter of there being more collectors in the United States? I only ask because it pains me every time I see a preorder for an exclusive on the Canadian website that I can't order because they only ship to Canada :lol

Ya 10 times the population in the U.S., so theoretically 10 times the collectors.

And Ribieconvoy, if you really want a Canadian release, theres usually a helpful Canadian member around that would be willing to work with ya. As long as ur willing to cover the costs involved. :)

What with the free shipping that TRU.com offers, if I was in 'merica I'd just wait for the eventual preorder to start up again. Canada Post is, shall I say, expensive. You're tacking on a minimum of $20 CDN just for shipping.

Shouldn't Walmart be getting this as well, or is it exclusive?

And yet they did, so now that he can be preordered, we can just buy the preorder and bring in the raincheck to get our 30% discount.

You easily could have gotten the 30% discount. It was all over the internet how you could do it and I did. I got 4 rainchecks :)

Here is what you should have done:

A gift for all Canadian TF Fans: TRU Masterpiece Starscream for 47.75$ US - Transformers

    2 things.

    1. The amount of people.
    2. The higher price. While it is only a little higher than the US price when you convert it, 100$ for canadian consumers hits as hard as 100$ for US consumers. Its not like canadians get paid in US dollars. So this is priced higher for them according to what they can afford in comparison to the US 60$ price.

But TRU.ca doesnt ship to america anyways, so its a moot point. And no, Walmart isnt getting any mps, those are all TRU exclusive since MP 10. Walmart should be getting the Platinums though.

I don't have a local TRU, so no raincheque possible. Anyways, it's not gonna break me by any means, and I'm glad that many of my compatriots managed to get the deal. More MPs for e'rbady!

Tried putting in a pre-order, but the website is trying to charge me $44 for shipping, even though they offer free shipping with an order over $50 within Canada.

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what's going on.

The "Free Shipping" does not apply to the following Postal Code pre-fixes:
    A0G G0W P0X S0K T0J V0L V2G Y1A
    A0H G0X R0B S0L T0K V0N V2J
    A0J G4T R0C S0M T0M V0P V2P
    A0K J0M R0E S0P T0P V0R X0C
    A0K J0Y R0J T0A T0V V0T X0E
    A0M P0L R0L T0C V0C V0V X0G
    A0P P0M S0E T0E V0G V0W X1A
    G0B P0T S0H T0G V0J V1L Y0A
    G0G P0V S0J T0H V0K V1R Y0B

If you're not in any one of those postal codes I'd call them directly and place the pre-order.

Something is indeed wrong since that cost is wrong. It wouldnt be 44$ anyway. Within Canada, the shipping would be 15$. They are probably reading your adress wrong. My bill was 89.99$ plus 15$ shipping which was then barred to show that I was saving on it, then the added tax.

So yes, something is wrong with your order. Are you using an intermediary service that will then ship to the states?
