Fantastic looking Combiner plus the individual modes look cool so win win.

I dont care if a 3P creates a defensor that can combine itself and can run around my house making pew pew noises and give each individual bot a personality I cant afford to buy it.

I can afford this gem. Simple as that

 

I'm glad I pre-ordered this set. I never was a fan of the Protectobots, but my 7 year old likes them.

I wonder how stable Defensor is in the extended-legs forms. I think the partially-extended version helps the proportions a smidge from the gorilla-build CW combiners often enjoy.

 

Move over Ultra Magnus, we have a new reigning champion of goggle face.  

Doesn't look too shabby but I'm hoping a 3P like Perfect Effect can fix some of the proportion and aesthetic issues.

 

This is looking really good. This is going to be one expensive year.

 

Reaaaally don't like Rook as a limb. Way too bulky/blocky, even compared to First Aid and Offroad.

Other than than, I think I'm warming up to Defensor. Adding Groove to the chest probably helps finish the look  

 

Looks great now I've seen Rook as a leg. Really can't wait to get another combiner on my shelf. Keep em coming Hasbro!  

 

Alpha bravo will replace rook but can't wait for this guy!

 

Can't wait to get him as with the others. I admit, I'm not as happy as I could be, especially knowing Groove won't possibly see a Deluxe. Rook looks like total crap as an arm, looks better where to me he belongs, in Groove's place as a leg. First Aid looks much more proportionate as a arm with Blades. Hopefully playing around with Hotspots transformations will net a tad better torso, but all in all, for what it is, I'm happy. I do love the individual bots though. It would have been super cool if Dead End used the Streetwise retool minus the light bar, and the coming Wildrider used his own mold, the two would look totally different.

Looking at it more, having Rook not be an arm for a more G1 look, really helps the proportions, again, to me Rook looks like ass as an arm...

I'm perfectly happy not shelling out $400 for a rip off of someone else's property. Even if I buy an add on kit and all 5 pieces of the HasTak stuff, I'm still paying far less. People keep missing the point of the main line HasTak stuff, of course 3P stuff will look more collectable, they're not aimed at ages 5+. Comparing it to 3P stuff as I've see some do is just asinine.

 

This might be the best-looking combiner so far, really like how they pulled this off.

Also, a lot of the members from this team could be easily repainted/retooled into a Wreckers combiner team.

 

Also just noticed...did they really have to put the damn catalog # right on top of Rook like that? Come on... I guess it could pass for a vehicle ID, but still.

Also, to me Defensor's face looks somewhat like Chase from Rescue Bots.





I think it would be cool to see fully posable and detailed Generations versions of the Rescue Bots, especially Chase and Heatwave.

 

I just got 4 limbs at carrefour Zhongqing store, Taichung City, Taiwan today.
But so sad no hot spot and cyclonus and legends wave 3....

 

Different folks "settle" in different ways.

Myself, buying the G1 version would be "settling" and going 3P would mean paying much more money for what would be, to me, a comparable-to-slightly-inferior product.

We buy what we like, so I'd like to see the partisan bickering get toned down.

Anyway, I don't relish Rook as an arm but he works fine as a leg, I like what someone pointed out about the red-blue thing.

Also my fanon about Groove right now is that without him and his pacifist streak, Defensor is in "attack" mode, fueled by Hot Spot and Blades' aggression and similar to the Dreamwave incarnation. So Groove has to get to his spot on the chest in order to give him his "forcefield" power and re-prioritize Defensor to protect civilians.  

 

Settling for an additional 6th member of the team vs.

Settling for elbows that bend 90 degrees, shoulders that bend outward 90 degrees and 0 articulation otherwise.

I'd love for Liokaiser to get an update and I'd love to have an original again, but if you're trying to make objective comparisons, Liokaiser can't really hold up to modern combiners. If it's just your subjective taste, that's cool, that's awesome.... but there's nothing to argue about between two people's differing, subjective opinions.

 

This is amazing! I can't wait to get my hands on this guy!

 

I still dunno if I want to wait for Guardia but this guy is looking better than I thought he would. A lot better.
