My Superion will still use AB, as I maintain that visually diverse combiner = better combiner.

But I may pick up Slingshot if only because I love characters voiced by Rob Paulsen.  

 

Slingshot and Wildrider that is great i can't wait to add them to my Collection but what i want to is know is why the different names why can't they use their original names.

If you read the IDW comics, yes, so you can make IDW accurate combiners. If you just want things as they were in the 80s and don't care about the comic continuity, then no, unless you like the designs.

Personally, I love IDW so I'm sticking with Offroad and Alpha Bravo and skipping Slingshot and Wildrider.

Like someone else mentioned, I like the idea that these teams could be fluid, like the Wreckers. It's a given that in the war, members of these teams will die or leave, and the teams won't be static forever.

 

Ill get them, I will probaly use alphabravo and offroad for galvatronus and treat him like hes the combiner from the 13 for shits and giggles

 

Off road is a sweet design a new cjaracter for the deceptecons and we all know they need all the help they can get lol.

 

i wonder if it was the name unavailability or a desire for more diverse alt modes that led to AB and Offroad in the first place...

(i'd have released 2 Stunticons and 2 Arielbots per wave personally)

I'm glad these are coming and I hope they are considerably different than Takara's.

With diamond being the distributor should be easier to catch   definitely getting slingshot . Alpha bravo will stay in the mix for color coordination  

 

true, but they've also been avoiding Slingshot homages for a number of years....

 

Some non-comic specialty shops have Diamond accounts as well.
