You know what is the most fun TF toys I have had bought?

Three rescue bots toys with one step transformation each :D  I don't know why, but their button gimmics and quick transformation is quite enchanting :)

Removing some of the articulation joints and lowering the parts count. Something more akin to a late 90's Euro G1 figure with modern proportions.

These all seem to have around as much articulation as G1 Soundwave or slightly above a Power Rangers Megazord (I count at least swivel arms and elbows and a turning head).

The Combiner Wars figures have simpler vehicle-to-robot transformations since they need to double as scramble city limbs. These are simpler to make them easyer to play with for younger kids and this time to none real expense of aesthetics.

How complicated do the Combined Wars figures need to be? They are on par with past Deluxes in the Classics lines. I don't see them needing to be MP complexity. Sure they don't have wrist swivels, but not many new mainline Deluxes do, tis the price of HasTak down scaling them, but the Transformations of most Deluxes are still pretty decent.

I think the CW combiners are pretty well thought out, with exception to the Motormaster mold....but with a few tweaks on the transformation you can remedy his shortcomings as a torso. But that still doesn't fix that arm kibble...

I like the Combiner Wars line, but I do think that, as standalone figures, they are rather lackluster. Few of them do much to move away from, and improve their G1 designs, unlike past Generations figures, leaving all the combiner team components looking samey. A lot of the toys have excessive amounts of back kibble, not to mention, the Aerialbots all have exposed hands in their jet modes.

Wow, they haven't learned from their last year of flop market expanding ideas yet

I never said that. I only said that I at least sort of understand why Hasbro is trying out new things for kids because what worked in the past may not work as well in today's era where electronic devices have more of a hold then ever. Like I said having Hasbro have one or two lines only may not make much of a difference because while it could work for a while how do we know it'll work for the future?

But they're not standalone figures. They're combiners.

It would be hilarious if we got all the triple changers in this line.

That Prime would look really nice on display, but the hollowness at the back of the arms is seriously off-putting. I don't suppose any third parties would consider it worthwhile to come up with a solution for that?

This figure definitely has potential but as others have mentioned, this figure is aimed at emerging markets. The price of this figure according Hasbro must be US $ 19.99, but in Latin America has a closer to the US $ 35.50 price.

So will anyone other than Robot Kingdom be getting these? I really want that Megatron, but RK isn't exactly my first, second, or third choice for buying stuff. :lol
