God, why can't we just retcon Autocracy out of existence...

Really looking forward to seeing what the cover of this one looks like, and if they continue the Sarah Stone character portraits from P2V1.

 

I thought Autocracy was good. Another reason to look forward to this book

 

I'll just stay in the corner and twiddle my thumbs while I wait for them to announce another TF Classics UK volume.

Cool! I was wondering when the next one would go up for order. I wish they would come out more frequently...though I also wish they had more issues included.

(They really couldn't have included Spotlights Bumblebee, Megs & Thundercracker too?)

 

Seeing as Autocracy itself obnoxiously contradicts other, better books, I see no reason anyone has to consider it's events canon.

 

I don't *hate* Autocracy, but somehow it doesn't feel like it belongs in this trade somehow.

Not looking forward to having to bite into Primacy though in a future trade.

 

I don't hate Autocracy, but I'm not huge on it either. I'm fine with it being in The IDW Collection. I don't have any of this stuff physically, so I'll probably grab it when it comes out.

 

Comic readers, I am reading MTMTE and RID for Chromedome/Rewind, the fembots, Sky-Byte, and Beast Wars/Machines characters... just finished Phase 1 Volume 1. Does Autocracy or the Spotlight issues here feature much of them, or much of the MTMTE/RID canon that I should care about this? Otherwise I’ll order the TPBs... honestly would rather get this, but I don’t want to wait 6 months to not read half of its material

 

Autocracy features none of them. In fact, Autocracy works against MtMtE fiction because it contradicts interactions between Megatorn and Optimus from Roberts' other books. The Spotlights of Trailcutter and Hoist, however, fit directly into the storyline, although neither feature the characters you mentioned heavily.

 

Thanks for the help! Can we expect all 12 issues of Autocracy in this volume plus the other 9 issues? It doesn’t mention splitting up Autocracy, but 21 issues in one volume seems like a LOT, especially since the last one only had 12. I think I may skip this and just get the TPBs and individual issues of the 3 Spotlights

 

Autocracy is made up of mini-issues iirc, so it wouldn't fill as much space.

Cool, was waiting for this. The time between new IDW Collections is way too long. I hope the cover is as good as Volume 1.

 

Can't wait, just finished Phase 2 Volume 1, purposely missed out on the ongoings because I can't keep up with buying the separate issues, just glad they decided to do Phase 2. Really enjoying both RiD and Mtmte

 

Score. I read MTMTE on comixology because it's so damn good I can't wait for the trade but all my other comics are collected editions so I haven't read RID or autocracy....

I would have thought autocracy and its sequels would have made a great stand alone IDW HC rather than be included with the actual phase 2 stuff.

 

Surely all of dark cybertron will end up being the last volume in phase 2... I wonder if I could map out what that leaves for volumes 3 up until Dork Cybertron.
