Wow. 25 pages long! I have to say, I'm a big fan of these stories. While I know they can't always pull the resources to crank out one comic after another, these are a great perk for the club members that do a lot to develop the Botcon exclusive and club figure characters. I've really enjoyed all the old ones, and I'm excited to jump into this one, too.
Not a bad story, I will say. If only the club had done more prose stories in the past, and had a way for members to easily access them... say, on a new website of some kind.
calling it now. the clone is gonna Be Nova Prime kinda digging some of the Maxi/Pred descriptions. Skylla as a Thunderblast retool, BBoom as a rotf brawn retool. Blackarachnia as a bh arcee. (or possibly gen chromia) repaint. I can see the club milking this idea for a quite a number of figures.
I wish this prose story had a picture on every page. It's almost all words. I much prefer the comics over prose stories
I really enjoyed that! I like this new universe, it's going to provide a lot of interesting repaints! Who the hell is Creepy though? Did some of those Predacons have new names for transformers, or are there some super obscure ones in some country somewhere they were referencing?
a quick search of tfu.info turns up a Gobot renegade with a scorpion alt mode and eye blaring green and purple deco
It kind of annoys me that that's probably going to be the case. Lio Convoy already has an evil clone, Galva Lio Convoy. I would much rather have this in those colors, than Nova Prime.
Well, yeah. As they say in the story, the signals from Earth with that are only just reaching Cybertron. And given the entire story is built around a Hunger Games allegory, it makes sense, not to mention drives home the idea that Earth has eclipsed Cybertron given that was their creative output hundreds of years ago.
The page isn't working on my Iphone, so I'm just going to assume Lio farted and Nova was there to ignite it.
Well done sir, thanks for putting my mind at ease! They have really mined all continuities for characters here! Zoom Out, the real gear robot! Obscure japanese headmasters! Rot Gut the TFPrime bargain bin predacon! Gobots! And presumably this was the lowtech Blackarachnia that ends up in the body of transtech blackarachnia in the older club comics... yay! Anyone got a clue who Queen Rage is?
Slightly off-topic...but for those wondering about the nubbed horns, here's a picture they posted of the head render on Twitter.
I really enjoyed this, especially liked how all the old Great War veterans are now oppressive immobile tyrants
