Two of them look pretty bad. I'm not buying Devastator since I want to use 150 to get the CW leader class, voyager class, and deluxe class figures. That allows a person who really wants Devy to get him.
If someone finds this guy cool, that's awesome, but I can't bring myself to prefer to buy this over more figures I can get with that money.

I'm kind of laughing because Long Haul is chubby.

Overall, I like the set, but some of them definitely look like they skipped arm day.

Yeah i dont understand all the gushing either....this set looks bad. the only thing going for it is the size and the individual faces look good. I was looking forward to scrapper too. Well hopefully some one will do a another Devy with the look of Giant but bigger.

Okay, I'm not going to lie here: I was expecting a better job for the individual figures.

I mean, many of the Transformers from Combiner Wars look fantastic per separate so I don't understand why they didn't make a better job with these ones.

    Fixed

They've previously worked more in on a lesser budget. Sorry, no excuse.

Long Hauls stumpy legs are my only complaint and a minor complaint as I will have him stand behind the other cons.

He is 18" to the top of the head. That is perfect Voyager scale.

18" without the head is perfect Masterpiece scale for a total of 21"-22".

But this will be a great stand in for me (forever keepsake) while I wait for the MP version but glad Hasbro know what's up!

I expected the robot modes to actually be worse than what they are. Pleasantly surprised :)

Not really. This team transforms completely different to any other combiner team. I'm surprised they look like this and not worse. Long haul and hook are the weekest for me but both of them being the torso and the way they have to transform I'm not surprised at the lack of articulation.

These guys were described as being upscaled deluxes about 2 weeks ago, I wouldn't be surprised if this was meant to be the same size as superion, but hasbro being hasbro decided to upscale them to voyager size so we get a huge devestator. Devy is the selling point here and they got it practically perfect.

its a shame they have simple articulation, but that's what 3rd parts like Dr wu are for. Fixin what hasbro were unable to do. Doesn't excuse them, and some of the choices are questionable, but it could of been a lot worse *points to ROTF devy*

Not bad, certainly cheaper than 3p offerings. Though the Autobots could simply stop them from forming Devastator by luring Long Haul away with a Cin-a-bon.

I don't know what it is, but considering how skinny everyone else looks, I love this guy (and can look past the elbows).

    Just love him.

The robots themselves leave some aspects to be desired as I feared; however, they are all wonderfully G1.

And I now initiate the gag of "I can hold a box," as is the case of poor Bonecrusher and Scavenger.

Cite your sources. What was better, what was the precise budget in dollar terms, adjusted for inflation and fluctuations in the price of oil and tooling compared to precise dollar budget for CW Devastator.

I love the set, I have no problems with the individual bot modes I think they look fine if a little less polished but given effort involved in making this and making it affordable I think it's a reasonable compromise.

    I'm definitely getting it.

So how big is devastator? Judging by the bots, I expect him to be around the size of Hercules.

Yes, they really have worked in more with a lesser budget previously. 30th Gen Springer cost less and had more implemented. Same with Blitzwing, classic Cyclonus, etc, etc, etc.

The main difference between CW Devy and the other CW Combiners is the larger sizes and lack of scramble city (which this was an actual plus). I do, however, agree with you regarding Long Haul. But I am very surprised that this didn't not have a wee bit more articulation. No elbows on Scrapper nor Long Haul was a slap in my face.

Here again we have opposing opinions. Granted, Devy was their selling point. But "practically perfect" is a misnomer.

I will agree with much you said on this section, especially the RotF Devy :lol  *shivers at the thought* They still could have worked on articulation a tad more and still kept it "simple". Although 3rd parties are now looking at this and already thinking of ways to improve this Devy, Hasbro still messed up, especially with all the hype they've generated.
