I've heard about this on Seibertron. This is going to make obtaining Takara Windblade much harder.   Hopefully Takara will do a second run to make up for the sortage.

 

Why did they actually underestimate the fembots in the first place? or is this part of their keikaku?

So, when should I know if I've gotten it? Am I supposed to get an email to the account used with HLJ, or to the one used with Paypal? Sorry, never preordered from HLJ before.

 

I think it depends on your selected method of payment? If you go through Paypal, without a preset Paypal user agreement, you'll receive a payment request from HLJ to the email address you use as your username on the site. Once you've paid, you'll get MORE emails: a payment receipt from Paypal to the email address you use for that Paypal account, a payment confirmation email from HLJ to the same address that sent the payment request email and if you have the preorder set to load into your Private Warehouse, a Private Warehouse confirmation email telling you that yes, it's been added to your Private Warehouse (why this email is sent, I've yet to understand).

With the Paypal user agreements, those are set up to charge your Paypal account automatically once stock comes in (if memory serves). You'll get an email from one or both, but I never use that option so I forget how that works.

If you used a credit card, I'm assuming it's similar to the Paypal user agreement in that you'll get some notifications that your card on file for that preorder has been charged.

Also all three have some sort of lipstick deco on their lips for the TT version.

 

Checked both possible emails. Nothing yet. At what point should I be worried?

 

I've never been "HLJ'd" before (fingers crossed, knock on wood), so I'm not sure if "immediately" or "in a couple days" qualifies as when to start worrying. At the very least, if you don't get something by Monday I'd email them asking for an update.

 

Different target age group.

Which is enough for me to prefer the Hasbro versions for once.

 

Even though I think the rest of the paintjobs are better on the TT versions, I'm gonna have to agree here. IMO, lipstick never looks good on a Cybertronian.

 

I seriously wonder how much of a shortage there really is.

Yeah with HLJ, seeing that's not really a great sign. HLJ doesn't even necessarily inform people their orders have been canceled or are unable to be fulfilled.

 

I ordered my Windblade on October 8 (I think that's when the orders went up), and it's also showing discontinued. I find it hard to believe that they won't fulfill my order since it's just one figure, and I ordered way back.
