    Wow... that sucks :(
Wonder if they'll start using the FOC seeker mold.

Guess TFCC decided they don't want any more of my money.

You know... Why stop when they're almost complete? Seriously. G2 Sandstorm is something we would never get outside of FP. AM Starscream would complement AM Thundercracker akin to G2 Starscream and G2 Ramjet.

Then there's Redwing. Why even TEASE the fandom with a brand new character if you have no intention of making it?

Very disappointed in FP. They're at the 5 yard line with 10 seconds left to spare, and are just gonna call it a game.

Please note that normally I love the club and spend tons of money on their wonderful figures, but this was just a shot to the kneecap... I'm not even excited for Nacelle or Starscream anymore because we had a chance that those other three would eventually get made.

Hopefully Hasbro will use it for more mass-released Generations figures.

I haven't gotten tired of the mold yet.

I don't have the same love of the FOC seeker mold, mostly because I don't like the "thunder-calves" look.

Red Wing was the only one I wanted that isn't made...that still kinda sucks...maybe they'll start rolling out the FOC seeker mold...but I only want 'Welcoming Committee Seekers' and 'Rainmakers' from that mold...I already use FOC Skywarp X3 as generics...

I'm fine with that. I love the Classics Seekers, but 31 + KO's is enough. Aside from Black Starscream and white-gloved Sunstorm (who were available as KO's) there aren't any other "must-have" figures I feel like I need from the mold.

Dudes, this is all a ploy. They want us to get all worked up and beg them to make more Seekers. And pay sixty bucks a pop for the privilege.

This is something where I'm fine with the announcement (we got G2 Starscream, which I'd been pining for ever since G2 Ramjet & AM Thundercracker, plus Sunstorm even if it's not sans white fists), but I admit if they changed their mind and made more, I may pick them up anyways.

If true, one can by no means blame them. The mold's been used a lot.

But take it with a grain of salt. This really isn't any different from when they've suggested previous TCC uses of the mold might be the last....

They will likely be using the Legends Starscream mold from now on.

    :(

I was always hoping for the G2 Sandstorm deco used with Dirge wings to give G2 "Desert" Dirge, the G2 Naval Rajet deco to be used with the Thrust wings to give G2 "Naval" Thrust
and the G2 Black/Green Jungle Attack Starscream deco to be used as G2 Skywarp to give a full G2 lineup of the 6 along with G2 Ramjet, G2 Starscream, and AM Thundercracker.

"No plans" doesn't mean plans can't change... but if they really have no plans right now, it makes me wonder if TFSS 3.0 with 2 Seekers didn't sell strongly enough for them to want to use the mold some more.

I know you're likely joking, but I would welcome that. That's a great little mold, and I would love an army of pocket-sized Seekers.

We've already got Thundercracker, Starscream, and Acidstorm and Skywarp has been confirmed to be released in a later wave.

The advantage of the bundling model is that it does indeed provide a little of something for (most) everyone, while cushioning the effects of toys that turn out to be duds.

The disadvantage is that most bundles have at least one toy that puts people off of buying the whole set in favor of getting just the separate toys they want (off of eBay or other sources, if not from the club itself).

When BotCon did a nothing-but-Seekers set in 2013, it proved to be the best-selling set of all time (higher numbers than ever before, and sold out quickly). Of course, that might not have been duplicatable even with another all-Seekers set. But it seems obvious that a set that included Seekers and non-Seeker toys would, almost by definition, dilute that interest somewhat.

In short, while (again) I can hardly blame TCC if they've decided that they've done enough with the Seekers, it hardly seems fair to suggest that they're deciding they've done enough on the basis of (unknown!) TFSS 3.0 sales.

I won't hold my breath. If the Seeker molds continue to sell as well as they have, TCC will revisit them.

I'm just saying "I wonder", not saying "TFSS 3.0 was a total failure and FunPub is blaming the seeker mold".

I wonder *if* FunPub expected TFSS 3.0 to sell "especially" well since they were including two seekers (given past popularity and that the Botcon 2013 seeker 3-pack was the "hottest seller" of that year's souvenir sets).

If TFSS simply did "ok" and not "notably above average", then perhaps some at FunPub might come to the conclusion that one factor is that the seeker mold's past popularity didn't help "a lot", perhaps having reached the point of diminishing returns.

I don't think it's unreasonable or unfair to wonder if something like that could've happened. I do not claim to know or think I know TFSS 3.0 sales or claim that FunPub would think any success or failure of it would be solely attributable to the seekers. So while not the only factor, they certainly could be a factor.

More than likely, and start the whole process all over again :rip

Guess TFCC decided they want more of mine.

With all due respect, the seekers were not almost complete... throughout these boards, I have seen 10+ suggestions for this mold. They could keep churning and churning them out, so at some point enough's enough.

    I hope the mold busted.

+1 I can totally see this happening...

Exactly. They said the same thing about not using Unicron Trilogy figures again, and we got Scorponok last year... they will more than likely change their minds. They're a flaky business

There is no doubt the seekers are a hot ticket item and there's more demand for them than not, but there are many people who are sick of the mold and have started refusing to buy the figure, where as if it were something else they might buy it (and so might the seekers fans). I did not buy the TFSS3.0 because of the seekers... if they were Beast Wars Uprising figures I would have bought it and just sold Carzap, Krok, and O.R., so instead I will just be purchasing Tarantulas (and possibly Nightracer) off Ebay

This is exellent news to me! That mold drove me batshit crazy, especially on top of the Masterpiece, FoC, and legends seekers... it was overkill. So I'm glad they're giving it a rest and opening up slots for other more worthy characters/figures.

And since they said G2 Starscream will be the last, looks like I might be right about the TFSS3.0 release order...
